Best thing I heard was try to reason with her, maybe convince her that she needs to learn more and get more experience and if all that fails, tell the 'rents. It's your parents responsibility to know what's going on. Do they know she's spending that kind of money, and where did she get it being only 17? If it's their money, shouldn't they know where it's going? find videos/footage/images of people who have blown their cars up from using nitrous and explain that even people who have been racing for a long time and know everything about their cars can have bad sh*t happen when it involves nitrous...
if that fails, set off one of those loud but harmless fireworks somewhere near her without her knowledge and chuck a pillow at her head. That should scare the crap out of her and then tell her that's what her engine's going to sound like as it blows up and the thing that'll hit her in the head won't be that soft [img]graemlins/naughty.gif[/img] :D

I tried to talk some sense into but she won't have it. She is the most stubborn person I know. I had to finally confront my parents about it and they are none too happy. We'll see what happens from here.
