250,890 as of this morning driving to work.

So far, replaced only the item replaced on the engine due to failure is the water pump that was dying at 125K. Ignition componets are all upgraded at 90K and hasn't failed.

Rebuilt rearend and replaced axle shaft...rebuilt the tranny...not that it was going out, but for precaution. 3.73s went in a 175K and 3500 stall at 200K.

Runs like a bat out of hell and people can't believe it's almost a decade old with that many miles.

                Regular maintanence is performed.

Oil chages at 3K with Mobil1 and Lucas using Mobil1 filter M201. M201 is the same as M101 only the cylinder is larger for more filtering. Tranny/rear end flushes every 50K.

All work done by myself...I wouldn't let a soul touch her.

You drive a lot in Atlanta...

Horsepower is how fast you hit the Minivan... Torque is how far you take the Minivan with you... :wavey:

There seems to be frequent mention of alternators, waterpumps, and more failing. The next line inevitably reads, "but the motor is still running strong."

Aren't these pretty low standards we have for our vehicles? I cant imagine an import experiencing the same kinds of problems. Am I off base here?

                            As for my camaro...

                            82k...

                            needed its 3rd starter
                            needed its 3rd rear end
needed its 3rd power steering pump
needed its 2nd power windo motor on driver side
on its 2nd power window motor on passenger
                            on its 2nd tranny
                            on its 3rd clutch

                            on its 3rd flywheel
                            on its 2nd radiator

and it needed its 2nd motor...

hmm... why did I get rid of it...

as for my 94 camaro, the last owner hit 210k on the original motor, only thing ever done to motor was when I adjusted the rockers, all the accesories except alt and AC compressor are original.
