• jack daniel's and jagermeister

i'm a pretty big fan of jack but straight shots of it all night can sometimes get boring. anybody know some good recipes using jack? and none of the "coke and jack" stuff. i already know that one.

and what about jagermeister? i know about sex with an alligator and jager bombs, but that's about it.

    Recipes or drinks?

I've seen a recipe book or two, here's a link from Amazon . I tried the JD Chicken glaze (I think that's what it was) and it was AWESOME!

Drinks, well, jeez. Hit up any mix site. There are some creative mixes out there.

        webtender.com is pretty cool...

I like liquid crack Jager, rumplemintz, and goldschlogar mixed, most do it as a shot, I like to fill a small class and sip it.

As for Jack, whiskey sours? Jack and coke, rocks. I usually just put it on ice, and add a little water to take the edge off and taste the full flavor of it. Might not have to add any water, they are already watering it down from the distillery

        P.S. I am boycotting Jack....

I did a shot of Jack last night. Good stuff.

For me its straight shots of jack (put some hair on your chest) and for Jager.. I enjoy that straight too or get the red bull out.

Jager is hard to mix with ANYTHING because all you taste is Jager... I made some random "I'm drunk...I'll just mix everything into a glass and drink it" I put seriously 1/4 of a shot of Jager in it and all I could taste was the Jager.

You could always do it like I do....upgrade to double shots! Do a couple of double shots before you wash it down with a jack and coke. You'll be well on your way...

Also, don't limit yourself to coke as a mixer. You can also use pepsi or dr. pepper. A friend told me it was good with orange mountain dew, but i haven't gotten up the nerve to try that one yet.

If youre not going to drink it straight try a manhattan or a whiskey sour.

As for watering down jack... wtf? I was always taught you're only supposed to add a twist of water to single malt scotch...

I just had a little water, regualr pint glass filled halfway with ice, then a 3/4 twist on, then off with the faucet, I am guessing 4-5 parts whiskey, 1 part water.

Know something else I learned to like, every have whiskey hot? Its pretty good straight up, I had my flask in my car for a day or two, florida sun made it nice and hot, felt good going down.

as for Jack Daniels Watering down from the distillery Read this.

I drink, Jim Beam, Wild Turkey, and starting to dig Evan Williams right now. I have some Johnny Walker black label, I drink occasionally its good stuff but fecking expensive, my boss got a bottle for a present but he doesn't like whiskey he might give it to me. Also for some reason I cannot stand Canadian crap. I have been meaning to try a bottle of Makers Mark, since I only have had it at bars, and already been a little drunk, so couldn't savor the full taste.
