I got a ticket tonight for not making a complete stop at a stop sign :mad: I didnt notice the cop in the parking lot until it was too late. $30 fine, $55 court costs=$85. That hurts, and I wont have a job until march or april :(

I almost got a ticket tonight, went right by a cop doing 60 in a 45, but the 20 other cars with me were going to same speed, plus I don't think he cared (for once lol).
That sucks about the ticket, that was my first ticket.. mine came out to $108 though :(

In my home town of Springfield, we have the "Springfield Slide", which is what everyone does.
Cops there will give you a ticket if you dont slow to like at least 10mphComment

I had a guy yelling at me in Philly because I came to a complete stop at every sign.
Just made me drive slower.

I am nearly hit once a day at the very least at this one particular place a block from my house. It is a four way stop on a hill. All parts can see the others. When I come up the hill and stop, i look around. No one there. I then slowly edge out while still looking. No one there. As I get into the intersection, never fails (particularly when my friend Andrew is with me) some idiot comes straight through the stop sign on my passengers side. I have been nearly hit prolly 10+ times, 2 times really close calls needing evasive action.

call the station and say there is a hazardous intersection cause of law breakers and they will post a cop there to get tickets and in the end, stop a few of the people almost hitting you [img]smile.gif[/img]Comment

Reminds me of a joke I once heard.
A guy is driving down a deserted highway.
He pulls up to an intersection, and rolls through the stop sign.
From out of nowhere, a cop car pulls him over.
COP: Do you know why I pulled you over?
GUY: Hey, I slowed down, didn't I???
COP: You must come to a full stop at the sign.
GUY: Stop. Slow down. What's the difference?
The cop pulls out his baton and starts to pound the man without mercy.
COP: Well? Do you want me to STOP or SLOW DOWN?

I hate it when people roll through stops, but particularly when they fly right on by the bold white line and stop in the intersection expecting that to count as their 'stop.'
