There is however an outside rumor that this car may be hastily redesigned and given a more appropriate name such as Chevelle. Then GM would design a Camaro on an all new midsized RWD platform loosely based on a lengthened Kappa platform. This platform (rumored to be called "Beta") was first previewed in the Holden Torana TT36 concept shown at the 04 Sydney International Auto Show. This would slightly delay a Camaro to possibly 2008. Very Sweet!
Uhh, didn't GM can the Zeta platform??

Uhh, didn't GM can the Zeta platform?? </font>
That's what I thought I heard 3 months ago. Unless that was a rumor too.
I like this though:
G8- Large RWD Sedan based of Zeta Platform with debut around 2007/08. Will be powered by both a 3.9L V6, and 5.3/6.0L V8's. Replacement for the Bonneville, and possibly the Grand Prix
Camaro or not, if any of these happen they sound like they will come right around the right time for a new ride. Mileage on the bird keeps crawling up. Just hit 73000 while it was _supposed_ to be sitting in the driveway until I earn it back. Guess my mom had to make a few runs to the grocery store.
One thing that keeps hitting me though, if this gas crisis is for real and the prices get too bad, I'm going to have to find a gas-friendly solution, at least for a daily.
