Best Console Game First Person Shooter... Halo 2?!

Ok I have Halo 1 and 2... I love em both, play multi with them.. play them on legendary. They're great, no doubt. But I think there's a game that gets overshadowed that is quite possibly superior to Halo in many ways. The game is Metroid Prime. I feel it gets way less attention due to less agressive advertising and limited multiplayer opportunities. But for all of you that don't know much about this game. Check this link

Give Tribes 2 a try if you like those types of games. It's pretty badass.

I've always been a big metroid fan! I still have it for nes. I dont own a GameCube nor know anyone who does. its lack of games is why nobody has one. they're for kids. it sucks because Metroid Prime does look like a very good game.

This is for console games, unless you mean Tribes: Aerial Assault? If you're talking about PC based play, try Tribes: Vengeance.

I've got one, but then again I've also got kids. It's not a bad system, and offers some games other systems don't (not that most people would be too interested in the GC exclusives.) Metroid Prime was kinda cool, but I guess it didn't hold my attention long enough.

im not too big in console gaming, but when my dorm had a Halo2 lan party, i joined in. i wasent that impressed with the game. it basically did the same thing that the Madden series do, add better graphics and a few new features. now my favrite console shooter, is still golden eye, that game still rocks. for PC shooter, i play alot of natural slection

Metriod Prime is one of my favorites. I can only hope the 2nd one is as good or better. As far as halo 2 i get to pick that up tommorow, hopefully its as good as metriod. I like the idea of XBOX live online play with Halo 2, Metriod is only offline solo play. But they should both be great games to have.

This is so true, Nintendo is run by idiots who have great game developing teams behind them.

I wrote a letter to Nintendo when I was 15 years old asking them to listen more to their fans and fans of video games all accross the world. But they did not, Nintendo has a problem listening to its fans.

First of all, they killed Mario with this BS sunshine game. Seriously, the game looks like my friend's five year old son could play it but he can't, its so god damn hard. What audience are they trying to attract with a cutesy hard game? Old gay people?

Zelda windwaker, this game is so short it makes my girlfriends miniskirt look like a dress. Seriously, what was nintendo thinking? Cutesy crap along with short story = garbage, I used to be a fan of Link until this crap hit the market.

Mario Kart = uninspired, not enough cars\options\tracks.
There is a total of I think 15 tracks to race on. Thats pathetic, this game is all market and nothing else.

Metroid Prime? Wow, Nintendo you got one great title! But that won't save your system.

Believe it or not RareWare gave the finger to Nintendo as well, only the company name didnt. Just half of the employees that broke away from Rareware did. Because they wouldnt take Nintendo's BS anymore.

What I do not understand is nintendo's hatred towards the use of CD. Nintendo, its time you get over your bitter attitude because Sony told you to get screwed 14 years ago.

The Nintendo 64 was supposed to be a slap in the face for Sony and the people that wanted to use Sony's Playstation, since the nintendo 64 would use carts they figured people wanted faster loading times. But carts = less space, terrible sound, and bulky.

Most of Nintendo's hardcore fans are like me are drawn away from Mario titles. The only thing that leads us to nintendo is Zelda and Metroid Prime. Everything else is bleh!

No online play? WTF! Oh thats right, the guy at nintendo HQ's released a word to gaming world saying.

"We think online gamming is just a trend and it will die out."

Yea, obviously these guys are idiots that deserve to be pissed on at every moment of their life.

Right now, Bill Gates has the upper hand on gamming. If Microsoft plays their cards right, they could be seriously owning the gamming industry in no time. All it takes is some kick *** hardware, kick *** games with online play, and bam... You got yourself ownage!

If microsoft were to make the xbox even more like a PC. They would seriously kick Sony's *** all over the world in PS3 sales.

and nintendo will still lay behind screaming buy our system, we have mario, and zelda now on CD! Yay
