  • Grr Hair Loss

yep, i'm 22.. and I lose hair in bundles.. it feckin' sucks. The good thing is that it's unnoticeable, and i still have tons of hair. I know the best route is propecia.. but man it's 60 dollars a month for 30 1.25mb tablets. There's another medication out there called Proscar (drug name is finasteride, same as propecia). Which is used for prostate cancer. 30 5mg tablets cost 10-15 dollars!?! WTF? I know people who have seen doctors that have given them the prescription for proscar and then the guys would use a pill cutter and get their 1.25mg. So here are my questions.. 1. Are most doctors cool about that sort of thing? I mean, the drug is the same, is it that big of a deal? 2. Would I have to see a dermatologist about this, or could my physician be just as suitable?

Dermatologists deal mostly with skin tissue anyway, not hair. I don't see how my doc would be less qualified for the diagnosis and/or trial prescription of finasteride. Thx guys, lemme know

Proscar is the same as propeica. I buy generic proscar from India, 60 pills for 40 bucks, 5mg. I split it in 4 and take 1.25 mg a day.

To prevent hairloss the best thing to do it to start taking it before it is noticeable, so you have a good start.

Take Proscar 1.25 mg a day, everyday, forever, dont forget this, dont miss one day.

Also buy generic minoxidil (Rogaine) 5%, buy 5% its more powerful, and use that 2 times a day. Buy it on ebay its really cheap. I like the Kirkland variety.

If you want to do it more, take saw palmetto, which is really cheap.

Be consistent. Do it everyday. DONT MISS ONE DAY.

At the beggining of you cycle, you will see alot of hairloss, which means the bad hair is leaving. But it will come back.

But trust me this cycle works.

I had to take it when I started loosing hair on my "roid" cycle.

This cycle helped me tremondously, and I have alot of hair. My friend as loosing hair and looked bald, but with this cycle he gained alot of hair.

aye.. i've read maybe not to introduce rogaine till finasteride loses effectiveness. Also, do u use 1 or 2 percent nizoral shampoo with your finasteride? Makes the pill that much more effective.. can be had from walmart for 10 bucks. It creates a perfect environment for hair to grow. go to www.hairlosssucks.com they talk about it. And when i'm using it, i lose less hair!
