This is what happens when you punch concrete:

Sorry for the crappy quality pic, but you can see the idea.

6 busted knuckles and lots of swelling

I was trying to loosen a bolt on PewterBird's rear brakes and the socket slipped off sending my hand piledriving into the concrete below.. his car doesn't like me

I'm just an MS1, but my professional opinion is that you shouldn't punch concrete. ;)

PS Something like that happened to me when I adjusted my parking brake.

I am a forklift operator, and it is my professional opinion that you shouldn't punch concrete. I usually punch doors and walls though, have a 4'x8' piece of sheetrock for such occaisions. :D

If thinking of attacking concrete... wait... and attack it when it is in liquid form.

It is much easier on the impact!

here's something my dad taught me...he's a mechanic:

DON'T grab the ratchet with a closed fist. use an open palm instead.

if you had done that, you would have just slapped the concrete, no harm done.

"Don't ever hit with your pitching hand"
for your sake I hope you're left handed...

My buddy did the same thing bowling...had 5 or 6 opens in a row, busted the chair with his fist. His first thought "oh man, i lost my glasses"...he went up to bowl and couldn't hold the ball... out for 8 weeks.

More like don't ever hit it with your bating hand.

Looks like it should be sore for a good while.

If he did that, he probably would have lost a finger on the LCA.

If it makes you feel any better Bat, I got a busted finger nail from that damn rubber mallet.

We gotta get you a set of mechanics gloves.

I gotta hand it to calijerk, he had impresive forearm strength when losening those spark plugs, and Cojones can really work some magic on his back.
