I was looking at Jegs Magazine and I saw a 82-92 Camaro 3 inch cowl hood,I assume it will fit on a 82-92 Firebird also.It says it uses stock hinges and mounts and its a lift off hood.Sound right?

dude, you just made an a$$ outa yourself. not me.

comero hoods WILL NOT fit the Firebird. USes satock hinges & mounts, & is a lift off????? give us a part number. Lift of hoods are that, the lift off. Bolt on hoods use the stock latches, & BOLT onto teh stock hinges. they usually caost more because they are reinforced to use teh stock hardware.
