does an unmodded supra engine have comparable power and torque as an unmodded LS1?

</font>
god youre an idiot. the fact of the matter is, both cars are almost equal.

thanks to you, i thank god everyday im not half as dumb as you are.
</font>
no, actually, you're an idiot.

without the turbos, the supra engine would be pretty feeble.

put turbos on an LS1, and I guarantee, it would be a different story.

perhaps I should have said "naturally aspirated" :rolleyes:
</font>
you are not understanding me obviously. if it comes from the factory it is stock what is so hard about that?

you two keep coming back with AND I QUOTE: well if you put a turbo on a ls1 it would be a different story.

thats the typically ls1 nutswinger comment everytime a turbo charged import beats a ls1.

ls1- great engine it is, end all engine its not.

u mean an Alteeza motor, i think they are non turbod supra motors. i duno what the Alteeza hp is but i took my friends IS300 from a 15mph roll slightly going up hill, his is auto with taptronic thoh

looks like this arguement is just guna keep going in circles

• a matter of fact here you go this is the typical ls1 guys. http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=309272 now i know that all ls1 owners arent like most of them but it is the majority. because a boosted sr20 240sx beat a ls1, the excuses were:

the chick cant drive
theres no way a 240-60hp car can beat a ls1
and the best, it was probably a badged 6cylinder.

most of them attacked the guy just so they felt better about their cars. god forbid that theres a car faster than the ls1s.

btw rice-eater. in order for this argument to go in circles they would have to have better a knowledge of cars. which they dont. ive put just about every fact known to man out there for them and the best they can give me is "put a turbo on a ls1 and see what happens"

either way youre right, he should except his loss and stop being such a winey little b***h

yah thats mostly what they say, i meant the arguing keeps going, and i happen to like american muscle the best cuz of styling and sound but im not about to say what can be the fastest if u hypothetically did something

yeah, i understand that (it comes stock with turbos), which is why I added "perhaps I should have said "naturally aspirated".

not an LS1 nutswinger, but you're still evading the theoretical dilemma ..the obvious advantage of a lighter car, with a twin-turbo engine, vs. a heavier, naturally aspirated V8 engine, I acknowledge that. nowhere in this does it imply "i'm an american muscle die hard, and the LS1 is the end-all be-all", this is about mechanics and physics...(besides, the Chevy 602ci is the end-all engine)
but yes, lighter imports with turbos leave domestics in the dust, and yeah, sometimes ya gotta give 'em props.

if both engines had twin-turbos, it's quite obvious which car would have an advantage...the one with more displacement, EOS.

now, I know of 3 turboed/intercooled Vipers in east central TX (Stockdale-Seguin), the average power of the three is 1,100hp.. they regularly smoke imports and domestics indiscriminately.

Why??

twin turbos on a 488ci V10.

kinetic- i understand what youre saying. but you cant blame a supra owner for having a I6tt that is just as fast as the LS1.

you must have some secret alien technology under the hood, or you're a really good driver.

cheers.
