They have impressive #'s, 200 hp and 235 lbs. torque. Not to bad. Anyone have some quarter mile times?

Looks like they finally caught up to us! The new V8 also looks closer to LS1 numbers.

I really don't find anything impressive about that car. I mean, should I be impressed that it has the finally has the same amount of power in 2005 that our cars have had since 1997? Not to mention that it is ugly as ****, and I'm by no means a Ford hater.

I've got a video of ford taking an '05 mustang gt down the track. I wasn't that impressed with it running a 14.1-.2

i was impressed until i actually saw it up close. the back doesnt work well with the rest of the car and the car looks cheap and highly breakable. not impressed. the only GT i would buy is a cool poster of it. 99-2004 GT rock though

No, it's definately ugly as ****. And I would think that someone about to spend $20K+ would care that the new & improved mustang is just now producing the same power as 97+ f-bodies, which can be found in great condition and for a hell of alot less money. And the last time I checked, f-bodies still exist and will exist in '05, at which time they will still be producing more power then the mustang, and look better doing so.

Even the V6 has more muscle this year; specs for the six-shooter now stand at 200 hp and 235 lb-ft, improvements of 10 horses and 15 lb-ft.

                          I've read it is now a 4.0L v6 engine.

they took 8 years to make as much HP and bairly more torque as us and they had to use a bigger motor to do it. just sad. i beat that the stang v6/ GT will still be slower than the camaro v6/ Z28. the only thing ford makes well is there trucks. there deisels and large trucks are nice.

Yeah but....ford STILL makes the mustang

                              GM sucks monkey @ss.
They bowed out of the horsepower wars with ford's mustang

The corvette is in a much higher category
