• Uh-Oh, Got a ticket!

And it wasnt even in the 'bird....

I was at my schools baseball game, against our rivals, and we lost by one run in the LAST Inning. So i'm pretty pissed. I get in my moms jeep, back out, and decide to hit the throttle a little quick. I spun the tire for a second. I made sure to not take it up past the speed limit, I let off at about 15....

So.... like 2 miles later down the road, theres 2 cops behind me with their lights on. Anyway, to make a long story short, I got written up for "Excessive acceleration from stop".

I'm pretty sure its just cause I'm young, I have long hair, and I was from the rival team. (we were playing at their field)

Is this a moving violation? Or what? Thanks.

or better yet, it was because you hauled *** off the line from a stop.

Stop pulling the "young kid" card... you broke the law.

And yes, it is a moving violation.

I'm not denying i broke the law, but your telling me I cant play the young kid car, because its true? Nine out of ten teenages are less mature then people who are 20+. I'll admit it right now, i still laugh at stupid little kid jokes, you seem like you dont laugh at anything, lighten up.

Thanks for your opinion, but you werent there, you didnt talk to the cop, and your obviously biased towards the side of the law. I didnt put anybody in danger. So if thats what you were thinking, then think on. I wish I woulda sat there and spun the tires now. Would of been worth it then.

Just gives me more reason to find some nerd from there school to have some fun with.

Not to mention being pissed your team lost a baseball game was enough for you to drive the vehicle incorrectly? Might as well give it up, you're not going to find too much sympathy here.

Yeah, and as for picking on someone... it would've served you right if the home team's crowd wound up stomping your *** for being a chode.

I think it was a stupid ticket. I'll stick up for you fbody3400.

If he just rapidly accellerated, really where is the harm?? Still being under 15mph, you can stop in like 1 foot at 15mph  I'd take take that one to court, just say you weren't in your normal vehicle and wasn't used to the pedal or some BS.

I got one better than that at my high school:

loss of traction (big smokey burnout)
wreckless driving (speeding excess of 15)
wreckless endangerment (cutting across parking lot)
Failure to stop sign
Passing on double yellow lines

all on the same ticket, i was 17 in my dad's firebird, showing off for a group of girls.

yes I was a dumb teen driver, at least one of the girls I was showing off for hungout with me while I was grounded for 2 months. Told my parents I needed tutoring in english, and no my grades didn't improve

yeah.. thats just one of those things. When you show off it happens. I almost got pulled over for doing doughnuts in a parking lot. Bad part was BaC wasnt legal for someone under 21 and I woulda had a bad ticket.

Live and learn, know where you can pull something like that off. Outside a baseball game with lots of people around = worst idea ever ;)

Drive incorrectly? What is the correct way to drive? I didnt endanger anybody. I wasnt looking for sympathy, anything in the post that suggested I was? Why would they of stomped me for being a 'chode', what was so chodish?

you say you backed out, which leads me to believe you were in a parking lot when this happened. is this correct or no?

Not really, it was on a street with parking on one side. No homes on the street, its just one by some railroad tracks.

It's actually quite simple. If the tires are spinning, you don't have traction. If you don't have traction, you don't have control. If you don't have control, it is reckless. See? Now, I know everyone here will argue that their skill level allows them to break traction intentionally and still be in control. But, the laws are written for the weakest link. So, you won't get too much sympathy from a Judge by using the "Hey, that law is for simpletons who can't drive. I'm the exception".

If only one tire spins, i'm not gonna get sideways. Its not like I was smoking it all the way up to 15.

If any one of the tires are spinning, you don't have traction.

better?

That is a BS excuse. Anyone who gave me that as a reason for stupid driving did not prevail.
