  • Got bad news today

i dont know if anyone remembers my earlier post about how i swirled the paint on someones lexus real bad on the roof and trunk lid but...i had my friend who works at a toyota dealership get some pricing for how much it is to get fixed and get this ****, they say they have to repaint the whole car because it is a 3 stage pearlescent paint job and they cant just repaint sections. Costing ****in $1700!!! he told me i only have to pay about 400-500 because he was alreadys thinking about having the car painted before but still 500 ****ing dollars!!! im extremely pissed right now just thinking about what i could have bought with this money and how im going to come up with it. i have the money already but i dont want to just wipe out my bank account and plus i need $600 for insurance in december.

i think my only choice is to begin to take part in some illegal activities for some quick cash...

I just painted my SS hood with black scoop, and RKSport front fascia and it only cost a couple hundred less. I had to have the corners of the hood fixed which upped the cost a little.
So 1,700 for a whole car with a "Special" stage 3 paint job seems pretty cheap.

well there actually not painting it the same color its getting painted some 2 stage mitsubishi color instead. i just didnt expect this **** to happen cuz it wasnt even that bad and it was only the trunk and roof that were messed up. i still cannot believe they have to repaint the whole car just for those spots.

In his case, I think he used a polish that had a compund that was much too aggressive for the task at hand, causing damage.

You live, you learn. With paint care, it's about using the least aggressive cleaners to get the job done.
