That's my point.

Defining the start of life as when an egg is fertilized is bull because both the egg and the sperm cells are alive before fertilization occurs. You can't just draw a line in the sand and say "this is when life begins", it is not that simple.

By the anti-abortion people's argument, every sperm is sacred and every time one dies then you've sinned because you've prevented a possible baby. In that regard, if you produce 400,000 sperm cells per day, you must impregnate 400,000 women per day otherwise you're killing something that COULD turn into a child.

As you said, that point is a garbage argument.
