Tell that to the guys running well oveer 300 WHP in the W-Bodies. 240HP here, no torque steer. I'm sure the Cobalt uses equal length driveshafts to reduce or eliminate torque steer, just like the Neon SRT-4 does.

Cobalt SS, I like it!!! I don't know if GM is going to break into the tuner market with it though. They should have gone turbo with it, like the SRT-4. I think that would see better results from the young, mod-crazy crowd. I would buy a Cobalt though.

the Cobalt SS and the SRT-4 were in a recent magazine goin' head to head and the SRT'4 beat it by .2 seconds. Not bad considering that Neon guys think they are untouchable much like Cobra and LS1 guys. I hate people like that. There is always something faster out there. The Cobalt beat the SRT4 in almost every other catagory though. Good read if you like the Cobalt SS. I think it is a sweet little car. W Bodies do not have much if any Torque steer. I drove a '00 Eclipse GT 5 speed and it was HORRIBLE for that. One thing i hate about FWD.2000 Grand Prix GTP- Bronzemist Metallic: K&N Fenderwell Intake,3.4\" Thrasher Pulley, v1.0 DHP PCM, 3\" Mandrel Bent DP,Ubend Delete,Dynomax SuperTurbos, 180* Thermostat.
Soon to come: ZZP SSIntercooler or N20 or both:)

Since you guys say it has equal length drive shafts, that really does put torque steer to a minimum. Most of the time I don't even realize I'm driving FWD when I floor it. The wheel does not move at all. The only time you'll notice it is if you take a turn and punch it. Instead of the wheel wanting to "snap back to center" like the RWD cars would it just stays turned and you'll have to pull the wheel back to center.2004 Dodge SRT-4
Turbo Swapped!
11.85 @ 122.8
Retired: 1999 Camaro Y87
15.21 @ 89

I like the Cobolt SS and wouldnt mind having one, but it would have to be without that wing. Maybe the standard cobolts have a nicer wing you could downgrade to.92 S10 3800 A4(96)
1/4: 14.374 @ 92.25 w/ 1.976 60\'
Turbo and 12\'s Coming Soon!
