The questions on that test are silly... they are phrased so that if you really dont know the issues you'll answer them the way the question maker wants you to answer - but I dont think that its intentional - rather I think the personal bias of the question maker shows through in his phrasing.

It's considered one of the best tests on the net... the questions are written with bias to see what your bias is. All bias are there... conservative, liberal.... it's all there.

I want to point out that it definitely incorporates a very important concept of political ideology - the idea that we are not 1 dimensional in terms of positions.
However, some of the questions CAN lead people into answering one way or the other
well im about where i thought i would be, Economic Left/Right: 3.50 and Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.67. and as for Our civil liberties are being excessively curbed in the name of counter-terrorism, how have you actually been effected other than more security in airports? how has that truly changed your life and how you live it? it has had no effect on me as an individual so im curious as to why you so strongly agree with that statement. i have done some pretty extensive research on political positions and looking into voting records (not just listening to the debates and the news... which is always slanted one way or the other but wrather i look into real facts). i honestly dont even understand why Kerry was chosen as the demicratic candidate, there were better options (Dean even though he had a somewhat crazy outburst). Rather than just voting for someone because they arent someone why not look into third parties? the libertarian party would probably fit most of us on this site pretty well... here is the link to their site with what they believe http://www.lp.org/issues/. I personally will be voting for bush because i honestly believe he is the man for the job in iraq but i would vote for Michael Badnarik if i didnt vote bush. anyway enough politics, i need to get back to work so i can mod my car how i want to and keep my girl happy, later.
