he took too much time throwing the gas on. by the time he lit it most of it had vaporized and it is heaver than air so it spread out at ground level. notice the ring of fire as he first lit it

No no no... He did it all wrong. First of all, after soaking the wood in gas, like he did, you are supposed to trail it behind you until you are a safe distance away. Then, you grab a 'cake' of small mortar shells. Light them and aim them at a glass full of gas. A mortar shell hits the glass. Ignition, Fire Ball, ground catches fire, speeds down gas trail to tepee stacked wood, and ba boom. Cans of starter fluid are placed randomly in wood for fireballs. I suggest you prob dont do this, sometimes the tops blow off and they become flaming rockets inches away from busting out one of our windows. No one gets hurt (out of pure luck) with twice the entertainment! When I get home from Boston I'll post the pics, lol.

His first mistake was not using a garden sprayer to apply the gasoline. It provides a better distribution of the fuel and allows for hotter and faster combustion.

Second, a 3 foot fuse for a 20 foot pile with gallons of petroleum fuel is too rich for even my blood.... he should have at least done 6' :D

                    Otherwise, very cool! :D

I don't think it would have killed him, put him in a world of hurt quite possibly but yeah definately a nominee.
