Im not talking about robbing a bank, any sane person would have the common sense not to do that.

    Im talking about about entering a country illegaly and working and sening money back home.

    You say you wouldnt break the law and enter illegaly, so what would you do? Just wait and watch your familly slowly die in front of you from starvation?

      Thank you. If I was easily offended I would slap L32Projekt. SWEDEN and SWITZERLAND are two very different places!!! Sweden is a country the size of California in Northern Europe, was home of the Vikings back in the day, has parts above the Arctic Circle, is today known in the U.S. for Absolut Vodka, Saab, Volvo, Köenigsegg supercars, ABBA, and beautiful blonde women with big 'uns. Switzerland is home of Geneva, the U.N., Swiss Chocolate, and Swiss Army Knives. Switzerland is a small landlocked nation in central Europe at the peak of the Alps.

      Big difference! Similarly, let's not confuse Alaska (AK) with Alabama (AL)! I know the two start with the same two letters but really now...

      Thank you for studying Stefan's Geography 101.
      </font>
I know, I know, I messed up and wasn't paying much attention when I posted the first time. I fessed up to my mistake in my post (for the misread meaning I responded to) and meant no offense by it. It's hard to be completely aware of everything when ya work midnight shift but have to go to an appointment for weapons qualifications that is scheduled in the middle of your sleep schedule just to be told you're not on their list to fire (how the heck does that happen?) Oh well, got my Regal fixed (Resonator decided to pop off after the cat, open unmuffled exhaust, whoohoo! lol) and I'm trying to stay awake for another 8 hours so I can be on a normal schedule.

      Back on topic: I know I messed up when I posted that reply, but I didn't want to look like a punk and just delete it, I can deal with and apoligize for my mistakes. Sorry about the whole thing, but skorpian, you can still kiss my a$$... lol.

        Crime is crime. Working illegally and sending money "back home" is no different than robbing money and taking that "back home".

        No, I would work IN MY HOME COUNTRY and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT INSTEAD OF WHINING TO THE REST OF THE WORLD THAT BOO-HOO I'M A REFUGEE AND EVERYONE SHOULD PITY ME!!!

        Didn't you see my previous post in this thread going off about this very subject?

        Refugees have NO EXCUSE to enter this country illegally! If they truly are refugees and the United States "owes them a chance" then the Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services would give them that chance. If they fail to qualify then tough.

        "Oh, but your honor, that law shouldn't apply to me, I drive a Firebird and I'm okay at 120 mph".

        Laws are not written for specific people. They apply to everyone. Why is that so difficult to understand?

            Just because something is illegal doesn't necessarily make it wrong.

              Sometimes there is no work in you're country, so
              some enter illegally just to work and send money back home (gotta agree w/ camarowidbass on that) can't let you're family starve. They go throught hell here just to earn the minimum or less an hr here and live w/ 6 other people in a 1 bedrm apartment. I heard pay in Mexico is about $1 a day for some people it's alot tuffer to survive over there.

                  Yeah, I agree w/ speedy-v6, theres tons of kids waiting in line to work in the field picking cotton or working construction but illegals come here and take all their jobs.

                      Otherwise you're out of luck... do you think those people really want to be illegals? F*ck no! They want to be legal and have rights just like everyone else, but immigration legislation doesn't allow them, because they don't meet the criteria.
                      That's just too bad...

                      If my family could do it legally, why can't everyone?

                      Answer: see my post above about benefiting American society vs. being a deadbeat. Nine times out of ten there's a REASON someone isn't granted legal status.

I have hispanic friends that went through the process of legally becoming a citizen(plus they learned English). If they did it why can't everyone else? Why do we let people get away with breaking the law, and then we're supposed to look the other way or feel sorry for them.

                        </font>
Why you let people get away with breaking the law? Then modify ligislation to allow them to be legal! It is a complex issue, because if we let everyone in, everyone will want to come. If legislation is left as it is now, only those who meet the criteria will be allowed in.

                        You're failing to realize that laws are made by people just like you and me. Regular people make laws against regular people who are trying to survive. It is neither good, nor bad, it's just how it is. Immigration laws are just that - they are neither morally wrong or right, they are to control flocks of immigrants. If someone happens to be illegal immigrant, it doesn't mean that he doens't want to become a legal immigrant. It's just that laws are designed so that not everyone can get that status... therefore they are forced to SURVIVE.

                        It's like me making a law saying you can only drive 5mph on interstate. And I will say it's morally wrong and try shame you endlessly for going 50mph... you think you'd give a sh*t? Of course not!

                        There are 2 kinds of laws: common sense morality (murder, theft, etc) and supplimentary laws, which are based on beliefs, rather than on morality.

                        Murder is illegal. However, if someone breaks into your house with a knife and attempts to attack you, would you not shoot him because it's illegal and morally wrong to kill?

                        See, issues are whole lot more complex than they appear at first and I really, REALLY don't like your type of people, because all they can say is: "OH he broke the law, he's a bad boy, he should be punished and I'm a good boy, because I obey the law". Wake up and realize that laws are created BY PEOPLE, not by some superiour mind who knows everything. People have different perspectives, therefore there is no fixed ABSOLUTE truth.

                        However, I see you're pretty closed minded "amercian idiot" type of person, you won't understand 80% of this post anyway.

                        Grr.. I'm done

                              ehh... stefan, I disagree with some of your views... YOu are coming from a COMPLETELY differnet perspective, the swedish, don't have much problem making it into the US.

                              My brother's wife, we couldn't get her whole family visas to come to the US, so we had the wedding in Peru. That family is nicer and more wholesome then ALOT of people I know and have met in the US, they were not poor dirt farmers, they had a HUGE house and live in much better conditions then my upper middle class family with a half million dollar house lives in the US.

                              I mean come on its taken over a year and her application status has even't started(we know because my dad has a freind that works in teh state capital in Tallahasse here, he did a search on her)

                              I used to agree with you stefan till I met a group of people I was shocked had a hard time visiting my country.

                                I use to work for WIC (women, infant, children)we've given formulas, foodstamps, and some medicines to mostly poor illegal aliens and poor legal people. But you know I am proud to help out.

                                These guys are doing the jobs that no Americans are doing. When I was younger, I worked in a warehouse and I was lifting 100lbs protein sacks from a freight truck. I was already pretty muscular back then. But I was wiped out. That is all we did. Lifting 100lbs sac for a cheap minimum wage of $5.75 an hour. These illegal aliens did the job and not a single complain.

                                The money made went to their family in Mexico. That was very admirable. Pretty much all we hear are negative things and nobody cares to see the other side.
