u guys must have done something wrong then because you dont need the drivers on the remote computer what-so-ever.. all that has to be done is that you send the document to the spooler of the host computer.. not drivers necessary
Whatever man... I try to send a document to my printer and it didn't work. Then I installed the drivers and it worked. But apparently I don't know what I'm talking about, I screwed up somehow. </font>
Well that makes sense. But what the printer drivers do is tell the computer how to translate the file you are trying to print into a language the printer can understand. I'm not sure how remote printing works (whether the requestis send through the host computer to the printer, where the host does the translating OR it goes srtaight to printer). the second situation would require your comp to have the drivers.

the document or whatever your printing gets sent to the ****ing spooler of the host computer.. it doesnt get sent DIRECTLY to the printer.. gosh!

the spooler takes care of the ques.

there's no need to roll eyes.. i never said you didnt know what your talking about.

if i had invented the jump to conclusions mat i swear i'd be rich.

no need to get hostile or anything... im in no way being rude.. at least not intentionally.
