It seems kind of obvious that Jamie Foxx is going to win best actor for Ray, although I thought CLint Eastwood did a much better job. But then again, it is kind of close. Leonardo could be looked at as second best.
It's obvious too that Hilary Shawk for best actress and the movie, "Aviator" for best picture. The guy who directed it for best director.
Now what's been a terrible let down for me. "The Passion of the Christ" only got nominated for makeup, music, and scenery. In part it was sort of Mel's fault. Mel Gibson refused to give money to the Academy in order for film to post and be considered for best picture and best actor. Plus the Jews who pretty much owns Hollywood said that they would boycott it as much as they can. They actually booed it when the Jews, who were members of the academy, were privately viewing it.
"Farenheit 911" whose creator Moore will not be nominated for anything. I thought it should have been nominated for best documentary. Whether you agree with it or not, the film was pretty well made. But the academy members remembered what Moore did last time. So they silently banned him for now.
I don't give a hoot about the Academy and I really don't care to watch it. I already have my pick and their decision wouldn't sway me at all. But I am a fan of Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood, and Jim Chaviesel. So I would watch it just to see these guys.
