    Neon boys...co-worker is modding his I want to know the outcome.

    He has a late 90's or so Neon SXT all he has done to it is put a stock exhaust from the srt-4 or something on it (cat back). He just bought a Turbo and is slowly buying all the stuff to go with it.

    With no head work, headers, ect... Isn't he going to just blow that 4 banger head right off the block?

    This kid knows nothing about cars (typical ricer) He thinks his Neon could beat our shop guys drag car (running low 12's).

    Is it an auto or manual?

    Auto neons run mid 16's to low 17's STOCK!

    Installing the SRT4 catback saves weight but makes it DAMN raspy and sound like crap!

    People quite often install turbo's on the SOHC engines with no problem. They currently make kits.

    SXT's w/ turbo kit would prob go low 14's hgh 13's.

      Oh, and Dodge didn't make a late 90's SXT... I think the Neon SXT's came out in 2003? Not sure, but DEFINATELY not late 90's. We need better specs! Oh yes, even though the block can take over 300hp, bad tuning will destroy anything... no matter how stout it is.

        Im sure its an auto. I said late 90's because its a newer body style but still kinda has the bug eyes.

        I'm sure I could asking about tuning and he would ask me what it was. He doesn't even have a CAI.

          Ugh, those are FRIGIN DOG'S!!!!!

          Probably a 17 second car currently.
