Yesterday Canada announces a 400mill deal with GM to expand the Ontario plant to accommodate 2 new cars lines. And the new plant will be set up for quick change. So they can stop production on one car and switch to another on the same line, to go along with consumer demand. Should add several extra shifts.

        New Firebird coming.
        </font>
Lol, so lemmie get this straight. They tear down the &gt;10yr old camaro/firebird plant to build two new lines??? What ever happened to re-tooling or saving money? Wtf??? Me GM

        Oh no but wait, I forgot. Why would I want to save money? I'm GM. Only little *****es like Honda and Toyota save money and I don't want my company to actully show a profit! Profit is for losers. :rolleyes:

            </font>
well, thats what i'm sayin. Instead of tearing down a new plant, just retool it to make those 2 new car lines... not lets go create a fiasco with the Canadian Gov. and piss away hundreds of millions to make a really expensive parking lot.

            That just doesn't make sense to me. It isn't the way to run a company; throwing money down a hole and burning it. Don't they ant to make money? But then again, its not my company so w/e.

              I personally think that they will do a great job with the new Camaro. The new Vette is out of this world, and the GTO is great for the target market they were aiming at. I can't wait to see what the car looks like in 08, cause you see the thing is i am eventually going to need another car...i say another cause i don't plan on selling my Camaro, she is staying with me for the rest of my life if i can help it. I really don't like anything on the market right now, and the new Camaro is all i am looking foward to, so i am staying optimistic and keeping my finger crossed that the new Camaro will be sick so that i can stay American made, cause i would rather buy a Corola than a damn mustang.
              2002 M5 camaro- VTR CAI, custom cat-back exhaust, battery compacitor, pullie, lowering springs, 32mm sway bar, cross-drilled slotted rotars. 1-10\" L7 in cubby.
