  • Moving out, Its over

I'm not sure why I'm talking about this here but its late and I can't sleep. Life can be really f@$ked up, about two weeks ago my wife tells me she no longer wants to be married. She said she still wants to be a part of my life though, her "best friend" as she put it....screw that. I don't know, I just can't snap my fingers and instantly forget about 4 years of marriage like she seems to have. Life seems really weird right now, its like I don't care about anything. At this point I'm mostly pissed more so than being hurt. It just feels like our relationship was one big lie. All I know is that I'm moving the hell out of here asap, I already found an apartment so I'll be moving out by the end of the month. Oh well I should've known better, she was married twice before. No one seems to want to put forth any effort in a relationship anymore these days.

I seriously recommend getting incredibly drunk.

You're so hungover, the only thing you worry about is not throwing up and not the evil woman. Give it a try.

Don't worry sweetie. People do put effort into relationships. You just have to realize that if things are meant to be, then they will be. I'm not being religious, but in this world, things happen for a reason.

Be strong and realize this is not at all you.. it's her. She is the one that was living a lie or made a mistake not you.

You will get over this, and it will get better if you need to talk, let me know email is posted.. jessica

Sorry to hear that. Good luck man. It sucks now, and it will for a while, but things will get much better. And don't drink too much either, it's stupid to try to drown your problems with alcohol.

Whatever you do, don't let her get you down. I can understand the disappointment you have to be feeling, my best friend lived in the doldrums for four years after they split. He finally came out of the funk of wondering why and the embarassment of being a divorcee (his dad is a minister) and now he is with someone I think to be much better than his ex wife, and he'd agree. Keep your chin up man; think of it this way, more money for mods. :)

                      So sorry to hear that.

So she's been married twice. Did she have any kids from those previous marriages? Did you guys have any kids together? Have you guys seeked marriage couselling?

There's a reason why she's acting like that. When you guys were dating each other, you should have seen some pattern that would not have made her a marriage material. Maybe perhaps you chose to ignore it or think you could change it. Or perhaps she changed all of a sudden because of some reason. Whatever it is.

I highly recommend that you two read books on Dr. Laura: Woman Power, Proper Feeding of Husband and 10 Stupid Things People do to mess up their Marriage. It's a real eye openner and much better than any marriage counsellor can give you and without spending a whole lot of money on.

She also has a program where you could call in. Check out her website: http://www.drlaura.com/main/

                      I hope everything works out.

"Friendship often ends in love; but love in friendship - never."

If she's not willing to give u a ligitimate answer as to why she just made up her mind like she did.. Then dont show u'r anger/depression.

Smile as you leave that house/apartment and make sure she see's that your happy about it. That'll make her think.

                        ooh yah.

                          thanks everyone.
As far as a legitimate reason why she wants out of the marriage, I never really got one. All she keeps saying is that is she doesn't love me anymore but only loves me as best friend. I've been trying to come up with something that I did or didn't do that's making her want to do this but I can't find anything. I pretty much act the same way and do the same things as I did when we first got together so its not like I turned into someone else over the years. I don't think counseling will work cause she's already made up her mind that its over. The way I look at it now is if the person who I married isn't happy with "me" anymore then there's no use being "friends" so I'm moving out. I guess the only good thing out of all of this is that we don't have any kids (nor does she from any of her other marriages). We are renting a house now so she's staying here and I'm moving into an apartment. We've already decided on who's keeping what and it looks like we are going to sell the Firebird. I can't afford that much of a payment ($400) along with rent right now. As much as I love the Firebird and the new rims I just put on it, I don't even care anymore; I'll get another F-Body later on.

You're better off without her man. Go out there and grab your dreams and show her what a mistake she made by dumping you.
