didnt know which forum to put it in.. does anyone live in TN?

I was driving down the road and this porsche is going faster then me right beside me... the undercover cop pulls ME over doing 65 in a 40 and he asks what i thought i was doing.. i say 60..

so he writes the ticket for 60.. 60 in a 40..

whats the usual payment for that? i mean how much and how much will my insurance go up?

It should say how much it is on the ticket. If you are 16 like I think you are, insurance is gunna rape you.

you shoulda said 55 ;) ..most insurance companies really only care if the ticket is for 16mph and over the speed limit..15mph and under they dont really care..my driving record looks like this right now and i pay $195/month through progressive...

04/08/2002 Speeding 15 MPH or Less SPD 0 Application, MVR
05/29/2002 Speeding - 16 MPH or Greater SPO 2 MVR
09/05/2002 Speeding - 16 MPH or Greater SPO 1 MVR
10/15/2002 Speeding - 16 MPH or Greater SPO 1 Application, MVR

195 a month is a hell of a lot. since you got all those infractions within a period of about 7 months, i can see why.

20 and over is usually reckless, not sure about tennessee but if you're convicted you may be well on the road to insurance premiums like 1dangerousv6's.

Check into court supervision. I'm not sure if there is a limit on MPH for that though.

Over here on the left coast you get a ticket and not even the cop will know how much it will be. You find out when the mail comes shortly with the amount owed for the penalty.

brink i'm from TN and i got a ticket for 69 in a 55... just take driving school... its offered to you once every 2 years when you are going 20 or less over the speed limit... i took it... its the most boring 3 hours of your life, but its better than paying a ticket and making your insurance go up... just curious.. where about TN do you live?

yup..dunno about TN..but here in NY you can take it once every 3 years..it takes 4 points off your license and 10% off your insurance..and all you gotta do is sit there [img]smile.gif[/img]

i have learned a few things from brinks numerous amount of pointless dumb post. He is a spoiled rich kid who gets anything he wants. He has no flipping clue what the hello he is talking about.This board has so many post about the same thing that one search comes up with at least over 50 post about any question he asked. I live in TN, isurance is @ $1000 for 6 months. Im 19 have 2 tickets. 1 speeding, and 1 wreckless(spinning tires on an abandoned road) I have chilld the **** out though.

1DangerousV6....did you get your licence taken away back in 2003 for all that? And if so, what process did you have to go through when you got it back? (Like filling out the SR22 or whatever they call it).

I've been there, colo police love to pull me over [img]smile.gif[/img] , ive only been ticketed once in the camaro, 79 in a 55, that cop was helping me out too! I lost my license for two months(i had a previous accident the year before) if there is one thing ive learned is that just because you can't see a cop doesn't mean they aren't there. When i got my license back i got pulled over the first day i had it back and then again the second day i had it back. For a broken headlight :rolleyes:
