Originally posted by mike h: get another firebird. my 95 camaro was only 4 grand, ill bet you could get a 1999+ bird from a dealership for half the price of any of those cars. and when u get it from a dealership you can hold them reliable for if your car craps out again.
Umm no. 1999+ firebird that still has warranty will be next to impossible to find, and buying those add on warranties are a rip off.

If its t-top related, most those leaks can be fixed for like $2.

its a convertible its been "fixed" several times for leaks. Id go with the mazda 6 for sure if it wasnt for there reliability issues, thats what they get for putting ford parts in it..the mazda 3 seems to get excellent reviews but reliabilty could be questionable if its like most other mazdas, the toyotas are sure thing, but probably not as fun.

id go with scion if it was me... i mean its a yota... and supposed to be the "replacement" for the celica... i would think it would be pretty fun to drive saying that... up close theyre pretty tight cars too... u lookin to mod any? not sure bout the market for these but its prolly not too bad...

Scion TC or Mazda 6, all depending on the size of car you prefer.

Can get in an '04 SRT-4 for the same price as those cars you listed. Could get an '03 for less but it doesn't have the LSD and some Stage 1 stuff that comes standard on the '04's. They are proving to be quite reliable as well.
Scion - they're pretty nice cars, have a sports luxury type look to them. I test drove one with my friend the other day, and it was an extremely nice ride with some decent pep to it.

All nice cars each with a plus. Toyota has reliability, but the Mazada 6 is a much bigger car. I would get the 6 if you need the room or the TC if you don't. Also, check with your insurance company to see how much each is to insurance. You wouldn't believe that it cost more to insure my 97z24 than my 96 Camaro RS
just an update went with a mazda 3s..chose it over the scion tc due to it having a way better interior/guages, plus it came with the factory tint, 6cd changer, sunroof all for just a little less than the scion tc. I got 10,800 for my convertible firebird in the trade which wasnt too bad at all.
