What? </font>
I'd considered a hybrid for my work vehicle if there was a decent 4x4 hybrid out there. That could actual get off road. I get paid 40.5 cents per mile. at 50,000 miles thats 20G a year in mileage alone, minus lets say (ford ecsape hybrid) 30mpg at $2.00 a gallon is $3333.00 in gas for hybrid. While at 17mpg for a jeep wrangler almost $5900.00
--- jeep's mileage $14,100
--- hybrid's mileage $16667

So if I did have a hybrid for work I'd pick up an extra $2600.00 a year in mileage alone, not to mention extra tax break for a hybrid.

But still I'd rather have a Jeep wrangler, it'll last longer, more reliable. And IMO hybrid's just have more parts to break, and higher maintenance.

Sounds like it's limited production

"The Sierra/Silverado hybrid will only be offered in California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Nevada, and Florida."

And only a 10% increase in mpg. Not to big on trucks anyways.

The new Honda Insight (Gasoline not hybrid) gets 57 city and 56 highway. 50k miles at $2.00 a gallon is around $1800 for the year. There is a $2,000 tax write off on most fuel efficent cars that were bought prior to 2006, and $500 deduction for a car bought in 2006. That adds up to an extra $6,000 after one year, $10,500 after two years, and $18,500 after four years. The car will have paid for itself in a little over four years.

Not to mention it's a Honda. It will run for 200,000+ miles before it needs anything major done repair wise.

I'm pretty happy with my truck's gas mileage. I get about 400 miles to the tank with nothing but city driving and 500+ with mixed driving. I actually went from Portsmouth to Cincinatti yesterday, which was 300 miles round trip, and it only used about 1/3 a tank.

Actually I head the insight sucks *** on gas... its so underpowered that you have to romp the gas just to keep up with traffic...

I'd look for a alternative to the insight.

I can believe that with a 3 cylinder 1.0L monster under the hood. I was just pointing out the Insight because it was the high fuel efficient car sold in the United States.

I'd get the V6 EX accord the one with the 240 v6, but is a hybrid, It runs mid to high 14s and gets like 40mpg...

I'll stick with a Jeep Wrangler for work, remember I need 4x4.

Then a nice ride for pleasure, and some work days, if I don't need to go offroad.

I know I've talked about this jeep alot, just can't wait to pick it up. Friday 1 1/2 more days

Originally it was going to be delivered to my house like a month ago, but her dad hasn't been able to bring it to me.
1st it was going to be trailered down.
then she said he could met me 1/2 way
then she said would it be ok to pick it up when i come up for wedding.

She keeps changing plans, it's my girlfriends cousin. Who is getting married this weekend, so I have cut her some slack with everything that is going on. But man is this anticipation is killing me.
