• Had a reoccuring dream for the past 6 months....

And I can't shake it.

I'm driving... and there is a car accident.... and it is bad.

I don't know what kind of car I'm driving.

Sure we all have dreams... but this one has been reoccuring... sigh.

I've actually had some really close calls lately in the neon and the bird.

I'm usually very good about specific's in my dreams and remembering details.

This one..... I don't know where I am, don't know what kind of car I'm driving.....and it is bothering me :(

Obviously the more I dwell on this the more I will think about it... sigh.

Well, dunno what to say.

Anyone analyze dreams????

I do in class all the time. Could be anything though, your subconscious could be dealing with your "close calls" differently then you are consciously. Most likely its just something that is bothering you from the back of your mind, but normally wouldn't surface during the day due to more important or pressing events. Can discuss this more with you over AIM or in the chatroom if it really bothers you.

Actually the fact that the dream is purposely hiding the situation and car from his consciousness is very important ;) In other words, it isn't because he is driving a neon lol.

i used to have recurring dreams of being in a tornado and being attacked by a cat. the tornado one was supposed to represent big change in my life, while the cat represented some kind of problem that was really stressing me out.

Tornado normally is not so much a BIG change but an influencial change in your life that your not exactly willing to make, trying to resist to some degree, or out of your control.
The cat isn't exactly the part of the dream that represents something stressing you out but more of the attacking part of the dream. The cat was most likely randomly selected as a familiar and everyday object in your life or as something you didn't like that was meant to get your attention (have to add two thoughts about that because I don't have background info on your to use ;) )

I also have a similar recurring dream....except mine is that I have NO BRAKES on the car I'm driving... and as I panic, I think of different ways of slowing the car down..such as pulling the e-brake.... I think I have this dream because I lost control of my 82'Z28 about 10 years ago in the middle of a 4 lane freeway on ice during winter at 55mph, did 2 360's and hit the guardrail going backwards... my car dreams haven't really been the same since.. Anyway, your dream might have to do with a past experience... or hate to say it... you might be seeing something that will actually happen eventually... I've had MANY vivid dreams that came true right down to the details.

Dreams are not a window into the future. However since they can be the unconcious trying to express itself in terms of the impulses its trying to get you to do. Your dreams can end up coming true because your mind is unconciously trying to get you to fulfill them. Thus why some people claim they dreamt of an event and then it happened. Their mind either realized this would be a possibilty and showed it in a dream or after viewing a dream their subcouncious would latch onto the idea and actively work to make it occur.

Like hell. I could give you countless episodes of real-life occurances that I saw in previous dreams. We are not just conscious beings..we have a soul, spirit and mind that can travel and see things when we are in a relaxed dream state...no doubt about it.

Your right we are more then conscious beings, thus my statements about unconsciousness ;) . Also you don't need to italicize previous. I gave you an explination for why those occurances happen. You are never in a relaxed dream state. When your body is relaxed your brain is incredibly active, repairing the damages of the day and other functions.

Also just out of curiousity I would like to know your definitions of spirit, soul and mind.

True to a degree, but if you were not in a relaxed state of being, then your body wouldn't be able to rest and recover..ever try to fall asleep when your brain is "incredibly active"? Doesn't work.. It's that relaxed state of being that allows the spirit to travel, solve problems and even view things that have occurred or will someday occur. One of the best things to do is to keep a log on dreams and compare them to real-life events over a period of time. I believe some people are much more in tune with the divine and are able to use their skills to their advantage. It's easy to write it off and say... oh, no that would never happen..you can't see things in dreams... but that's really just your conscious-being in denial. I've seen events before I've seen them both in dreams and in a conscious state of being, and thought the same thing ...until I was convinced otherwise by an expert in the field who uses her dreaming skills and psychic abilities to assist law enforcement agencies in catching criminals of violent crimes.
