Got speeding ticket today want ur opinions on fighting it to get rid of the points.
Ok I was driving down this road that is 25 speed limit however, no one really goes that speed every one does 35ish. Any who sorta in a rush not really feeling like I going fast but was doing 40 in the 25 and the cops had a speed trap set up I got caught in it. O well my bad my question is what you guys think as far as fighting this you think the points be dropped since it was a speed trap. I talked to my friend that’s a pizza delivery guy and he said they were pulling people over all night there. So what are your opinions on this?

I was talking about fighting it and the probability me getting rid of the points. But I see you are from Russia so the laws are prolly a little diff there.

you dont get points dropped b/c its a "trap". Plead out to driving school if this is your first ticket and you are young. Thats my advice. My opinion is you were speeding.
As far as my knowledge goes there no driving school here in PA for traffic offenses. Normally seems around here with traps the more interested in the cash end of the fine if you acted like civilized individual like I did.

well i go to school for admin of justice(cop) basically the cop didnt do anything wrong, the "speed trap" is legal, basically you were speeding and they saw you. for it to be illegal the cop has to make you do something you wouldnt normally do driving. does that make sense

ok I understand I was going fast I just saying if I go to court you think I could shave the points off the fine that all I am asking not the speed aspect I understand that and it was my fault not the cops I just saying the point end of it.

Yah I thought normally if cop doesn't show or who ever the defendant doesn't show you win the case. I rarely do 95 in 55 most roads got bumped to 65 here and I hang around 75 or 80. I was 16 once and used to fly around like and idiot but now what’s the point.
If it makes you feel any better my friend let me drive his 02 TA and I got clocked in a speed trap going 75+ in a 40MPH last saturday. As soon as I saw the cop I knew I was screwed so just pulled over and let him write me up. He cut me a break tho and only wrote it as civil since I pulled right over to him and explained to him that Im an idiot for what I was doing. But off to traffic school this saturday

Wow talk about bad luck dude. Yah I pretty sure there no school here my friend 2 yrs ago that not the brightest was doing 95 in a 55 when it was wet out in a pick up truck I wanted to smack him for that any who all happen to him was he lost his license for 6 month no traffic school so pretty sure that there non in pa I think it you go to court try and fight it and what happens happens. What makes me mad is I know that cops sometimes sit in the lot he was in but like I said I was late for where I had to be and wasn’t thinking about it.
