Its not that bad... there are benfits you know... </font>[/QUOTE]$10K? Our somewhat normal pool was close to $30K in 2002 with the best deal we could find, and home prices here have close to tripled since then so I'm sure pools have gone up too.
We don't have a HOA, but our CC&R's are decently strict. No cars on the street overnight and nothing in the driveway for over 24 hours.. or maybe the other way around. They don't really enforce it and we've had a car in the driveway since I started driving, but I think it's more of a protection against people parking crappy cars outside. It does look a lot better without cars lining the street though.
