3 questions:

Why did someone have enough free time to set all that up?

What kind of electric bill were they looking at?

Why isn't the house on fire???

You can tell by looking at the grass and street that its not real. I'm guessing they took a picture of each individual light and then pasted it together in sequence. Still, it took a lot of skill.

The light show there is real, you can take it apart frame by frame to see the shadows and such - the electrical part isn't hard, its the timing it to the song that would take time. But nothing that couldn't be done if it were hooked up to a computer instead of timers.

Nah. The grass stuff you are seeing is the camera continuously focusing because of the changing light. I could prove it to you and send you a video of me and my buddy blowing up his little sisters barbie car with a 1/4 stick, lol. The camera was on a stand, and the flickering flame screwed with the focusing. The car always stayed in focus but its surroundings were jumpy (i.e. the grass). Along with the video compression it made it much more noticeable. So that blows your theory out of the water.

Not only that, theres headlights on the road from a vehicle. I doubt someone sat there for hours to watch the guy in the house turn each one of his xmas lights on individually to snap a shot, lol.

Hey, I could be wrong, but I'd bet its real. Now does he have the music playing outside so people passing by actually get wtf is going on? Thats the question.

Edit - Alright. Now I know it has to be real. Just searching the internet people do this all over the U.S. Some go as far as broadcasting the music their lights go to thru an FM radio station so you can hear it as you pull up to the house! Crazy stuff.
