what is the difference between the core system and the 400 dollar one? is the 400 dollar one just a bunch of crap i dont need or do i need any of that stuff to play?

Back when I was into games, core systems were just the system and maybe one controller if you were lucky.

the one thing that bothered me about the core system is i doesnt come with any memory and the memory costs 100 bucks so its worth it to get the full version.

From the ads I saw the core is just the system, a wired controller, and an AV cable. The higher one is the system, a wireless controller, HD and AV cables, the 20 gig hard drive, and an ethernet cable. The hard drive alone is advertised for $99 and the wireless controller is $49.

Yeah, the higher version($400) comes with the HD which you NEED to play older XBOX games. Not all older games work right now, but they are "hopefully" expanding the library.

But for an extra $100 you do get a ton of stuff, if I was buying it, I would def get the $400 version, just so I dont have to spend more $$ later on just pieces.

in the end the core isnt worth it unless your looking to mod it up beyond the 400 setup.

Definately get the 400 package. The hard drive is a must need as most of the games are doing to require a great amount of memory. Also if you buy just the core package and plan to upgrade later and buy what is in the 400 dollar package it is totally not worth it. You save a lot of money with the big package so why not do it all at once. As for me, I'm going to wait until the PS3 comes out and let my friends buy one and compare them. (make sure I get the better one)

Man i work at gamestop...let me just go ahead and say if you dont have one reserved somewhere you may not get one. They are only sending us 8 and we have 50 reserves...this one guy called cusing us out because microsoft called him and said he may not get his reserved one until early 2006!

Which buy our quater schedule is april.

I got mine Saturday morning. The premium system.

Core: system, wired controller
Premium: System, wireless controller, headset, dvd remote (first units only), hard drive, and the dvd try is silver.

I love it, XBL seems to have went online for us last night so I got to play NBA2K6 and NFS:MW a little online.

I'm considering selling it though, the first shipment was like cut in half so alot of people who wanted it won't be getting it. Which means I could stand to make a huge profit, then buy another one in a month of so when some are available.

I have the 360 premium verison, Play and Charge kit, NBA2K6, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Call of Duty 2.

If I could get over $800 for it all I'd sell it. But I leary about going down to the lines to try and sell it and get robbed. lol

It all just seems way too expensive. I don't know when I will finally get one. (360 or PS3) but I will sometime.
