      I am guessing that is the aussie version since the driver/passenger side is swaped. I like the exaust but the hood is kinda bland.

            i have a GM magazine...the GTO body style was taken from an Australian car, and I believe that was it.

            So you probably could call some aspects of it importish...how sick.

                just cause they werent made here doesnt make it an import :rolleyes: and the GTO got alot of everything from that car but its different and its not called that so its not that car and its not an import [img]graemlins/twak.gif[/img]

                    the entire car is taken from the australian Monaro, its a joke that one of the greatest icons of American automotive history is resurected as an import that has no designing cues from the original, I don't care what anyone says it IS an import.

                      i have seen the picture of the gto and that car, not the exact same. NO import. besides the camaro they are designing, the gto will get its chassie so it will be more of a "muscle car"

                        At the end of the day you still see the big ol bow tie or PONTIAC on your bird/maro therefore making it domestic. Ford takes it even a step ahead by already circling the problem for you.

                          The hood don't look right. Anyone ever wonder why it looks right on an Fbody, Viper, or even a corvette and not a GTO or Mustang. I think it has to do with the quarter windows and no grille between the headlamps. If a car has qtr windows and a grille, a single scoop looks more right. But if it doesn't then twin scoops looks fine and matchs the car more. I think having no qtr windows and no grille between the headlamps makes the car more sporty looking, while have qtr windows tries to compromise, like having a two door sedan. If they really want to make it a twin scoop, they should make it similar to the T/A and have the grille between the lamps be the starting point, like the TA. The split grille with 4 holes like the WS6, where the bottom 2 holes are the grilles between the lamps, and the other 2 holes are on the hood itself. Or put a single scoop in the center, by itself or with a bulge to split it.


                          I think they should just put the LS2 in it, add the autocross package(with better looking polished wheels), and a twin intake scoop that looks like TA's style where it starts at the grille(like mentioned above). The "appearance" package should be optional as this car is out of the range of a lot of teenagers and the mature crowd wouldn't want the flash. Can u imagine a 540i with scoops, spoilers, and all?? well, that's how the GTO was intended.
                          My main gripe is the damn fuel tank taking up hella space in the trunk. Otherwise I think the car looks good, just need some better looking wheels and a lower spoiler, maybe a small ducktail spoiler.

                            The GTO is an import , pontiac just changed the name to keep from getting ragged on about bringing an australian car to america as their new "muscle".
