Too bad the author wasn't responsibleenough to cite the source. I'd guess that s/he didn't because the claim is completely unfounded. The only reason it works is because the diagraphs in each word are just juxtaposed. If they're broken apart and truly randomized, the text becomes almost unreadable:
peenhamonl cimbagrde adirncocg rarcseeh usterinivy
Those are words taken from the text with seperated diagraphs. Without contextual information, you can't "decode" them on the fly.
Although I'm sure the people on this board who can't spell their way out of a paper bag are jumping for joy. Actually for that to work you'd still have to be able to spell the words. Just your typing doesn't have to be the best.00\' firebird v6 5spd<br />201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq<br />\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"<br />WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk

even if the context is, for the most part, how the mind can figure out the words on the fly it is still rather amazing.

Not that amazing if you understand perception and what your mind actually does lol. I suffer from night blindness can't see most of my surroundings at night yet I can drive perfectly as long as I've been in the area before. If I haven't it gets alittle fun ;)00\' firebird v6 5spd<br />201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq<br />\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"<br />WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk
