How bout this? Cop pulls me over.
Cop - "Wheres the fire?"
Me - "What are you talking about?"
Cop - "Going a little fast back there werent ya?" (Takes my liscence)
Me - "No... I wasnt."
Cop - "I clocked you at 45 mph."
Me - "You're crazy, I didnt even hit 35."
Cop - "You took off from that stop sign fast."
Me - "No... I didnt. (Turn to my girlfriend) Can you believe this crap? He's gonna sit here and lie to me."
Cop - (Hands me my liscence) "Slow down." (Goes back to his car)
I called him on that one. Well you shoulda said it was a motox cop in the first place, cuz I wouldn't blame a patrol car. The job of motox cops is to "control traffic" :) They're supposed to give out tickets, it's their job, and it's the way the state makes money.
And JusFlyinBy, I doubt that if your girlfriend wasn't in the car, the same thing would've happened. You had a witness. If you said that just by yourself, you could be looking at a HUGE fine along with disrespect for authori-TAH.
And I'm going to have to agree with Domestic that you shouldn't be driving like that at 3am. Either, a) you should've been more careful, or b) you shouldn't have made the decision to go to your girlfriends house and stay up that late til 3 in the morning when you have to work early the next morning.
