• kind of pissed at nice weather

    Well my car has been in storage for about a month now and have only seen snow for about a day and then it melted. Yesteday it was almost nice enough to have the t-tops off, but instead im stuck driving my sisters alero for the winter. I wish there would just be a big blizzard so I could go snowmobiling and snowboarding. Tired of nice weather and no camaro. :mad:

    Haha. Well, I sorta hear you. Accept I didnt put my car away yet. Im driving it 'till the last minute and watching the forecast. When I see snow, in the garage it goes for lockdown. The difference is im dreading driving my 'bird. Thing is a heap of junk now, :( but is now the beater.

    But so far, nice weather and record breaking highs. Crazy eh? Im ready to board myself too.

      I'm about to put my car into storage, too.

      Question: got any tips for washing a car in 30-40 degree weather?

        Nothing that I can think of except make sure you keep it in a garage after you wash it so that the doors don't freeze over night. Other than that stay warm if your doing it by hand. :D

          Just keep on daydreaming about balmy temps, that will speed up Ol' Man Winters presence.

          I have to agree that we here in the Northeast were treated to nice weather recently but the winds of changes have blown already now.

          I'm ready for a typical winter that will make headlines in the news. Bring it on!

            Was I the only person to drive my Camaro in the snow when I owned it??? Seems like everyone is ready to put the thing up in the garage the first sign of snow or cold for that matter. Just curious how many of you are too ill equipped to drive a RWD car in the winter?

              Its not that we can't drive a rear wheel drive car in the winter. Who wouldn't want to drive a RWD car and have fun sliding around courners. (thats what my dads truck is for) Its the salt on the roads that can really hurt your car.

                    I dont have to worry about it around here in northern alabama. It never snows except for maybe .0000001 inches for about one day out of the year. Even when it does come a nice big ice storm they still dont salt the roads...everything just closes down till it melts. lol.

                            Nah, Mogo I drove my Firebird year round. I had a 5 spd, 255 width Kumho 712's and a limited slip in the back.

                            I never got stuck. *shrugs* These kids today I guess :D

                              </font>
I drive mine year round too. Only time I have gotten in trouble is when a big rig ran me off the road in the snow. I was able to drive out of it, but it took a little digging and a lot of cursing.

                              When I did it at school I used think rubber dish washing gloves. It helped some, but when its that cold out there is only so much you can do.
