I doubt if it will have a salvage title if he repairs it.

How in the heck is anyone going to know?

Salvage titles are issued whenever a insurance company pays off.

That way a rebuilder is the only one that can rebuild the car that is to be licensed and titled (as a rebuild) once again.

While I am glad that your okay, I honestly cannot feel sorry for you. How in the hell you could go straight through a red light that you were fully aware of is beyond me. You are very fortunate that you didn't seriously injure or kill someone just because you didn't want to use your brakes. Hope everything works out, but maybe you should stick to riding a bicycle

So, Moderator, you reading this?

This guy doesn't even have a v6.

Honestly, moderator(s), consider what this dude just wrote, especially his parting comment. We all read DMW's story and feel bad for him and he came right out and said it was his fault.
DMW is a good guy and has been here a very long time. This forum at times promotes a feeling of family and team work between its members and to read the comment by TMGSIX is just plain horrible.

Maybe he thinks he is being funny. This is not exactly a funny situation nor is there any need or desire from any of us to poke fun at or make fun of or mock the situation that DMW is in right now.

Maybe ban me for what I am about to say.

TMGSIX, you can Fu** right off and eat my SH** you FU**ING piece of SH**!
DMW is OUR friend. Do you know what that means? I bet you don't.

Sincerely, grayman of the very pissed off grayman's

Wow. The man openly admits making the mistake, and you kick him while he's down anyway. I am definitely not the most forgiving person here, but that was just really screwed up. He points the finger of blame solely on himself, yet you see fit to put your 2 cents in that was really uneeded at this point.

David, hope you are ok. Get that car fixed, even if it does come out of your own pocket. Sometimes our own passions for what we love go beyond money. If you care about the car that much, fix it.

thanks for backing me up guys. i just cant believe he went as far to say "just because you didnt want to use your brakes"... yea thats just dumb. youre making it seem like i chose NOT to use them at hit him. YOU DONT THINK I TRIED THE BRAKES AT THE LAST SECOND RETARD??

ugh.. anyways. i guess in hindsight, at the last minute i could have downshifted and pulled the e-brake.. but im trying to not think about the past anymore.

There are always "what ifs" man, but you did what you did in that situation at that certain moment. Its the same as me thinking of something even more ******* to say to somebody a few minutes after the conversation is over, ya know?

I can only imagine how you feel. Seeing the pictures is just heart breaking. Your car was one of the nicest on the board... you have to rebuild it. Can you tell if there is any frame damage?
