    thanks.

i went to another shop today and they said just by looking at it at a glance they think its totalled for sure, but they wont know "for sure for sure" until tomorrow when they examine it more.

do you guys think its worth paying the 5 or 6 grand to get it repaired.. or should i just buy a new camaro/firebird and swap all the mods over? also, i just found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true
    2,300 though..

I'd get a new car and switch the mods over.... a car with major repair on it is never the same... you'll have rattles and all sorts of problems.

im also looking at THIS car. i could use my rear panel and door and get them repainted. then sell my s/c and part out my v6 to help pay for it all. good idea or bad idea? i cant tell if it would JUST need those two parts or if there is more frame damage to it. but thats a good deal.

my car is as silent as could be, not one shake, rattle, no noises at all. if its fixed properlly, it'll be fine.

i really dont know what id do, figure out whats cheaper/easyer and go for it.good luck

remember that when you are done with taking parts off of your current car you can part that out as well for some cash.

might want to look at that bent up red car pretty good first. rear quarter repairs can be complicated...its the roof line that goes between the right and left side...solid welds under the plasit cover i think.
low mileage on that car, thoug. you already have a door, too.

yeah definitely look out for rear quarter damage. I had to have my rear quarter replaced about a year ago and it doesn't quite line up with the decklid.

yea ive got a door and quater panel. its just id have to pay 5,900. and with that money i could fix up my car back to the way it was. or i could sell my parts and buy that car, id prolly get a little over 3 grand making the car cost around 3 grand.

btw 1/4 panels need to be cut welded in grinded down, and repainted I believe, not cheap stuff. Having a donor doesn't help that much on the costs.

damn man, im sorry about your ride. I would get a new car because i dont think its worth spending money like that on a car that isnt going to have any re-sale value, look at this Formula http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-...QQcmdZViewItem
there are plenty of good f-bodys out there.

i dont have that money to spend!! and the car WILL have the resale value.. because this isnt going to have a salvage title or anything. my insurance isnt paying for anything

have insurance total it and buy it back salvage, part it, buy that TA.

You can get like a grand for the rims. that should cover the cost of the quarter pannel.

When you say insurance isnt paying for anything do you mean you only had liability?

Are the camaro/firebird doors the same?

yea, i only had liability. so the whole "have them total it and buy it back salvage" wont work.

im pretty sure the doors are the same, but that trans am thing was just a random idea.. are they the same? a 95 TA and a 00 camaro?
