• College guys: what's your GPA?

I was drinking a beer with my buddies today, and we were having our annual "year in review" discussion. We started to talk about grades, and I was absolutley floored by what I heard. All 3 of my roomates pulled off a 4.0gpa this semester.

I expected it from Lance, my dorky RM. He goes to bed every night at 9pm and gets up at 8am. All he ever does is study and look at porn on the internet. He was only in 12 Credit hours this semester, so it wasn't too hard. He always makes dumass remarks in class like: "C'mon professor, just give us all A's, we can skip the test!" He annoys the hell out of me.

Roomate #2, Andy, likes to go out drinking at nights, and bring home sluts and bang them. He is very concerned about his grades, but I didn't figure he was a straigt A student.

Roomate #3, Mike, spends 10 hours of every day watching television. I was amazed that he got a 4.0 in 15 credit hours.

Then there is me. I thought I was doing really well for myself this semester because I got a 3.33gpa. I usually end up with 3.0-3.1gpa. Once I heard about my roomates, I felt retarded. I just graduated, and my cumulative gpa is 3.16. I was proud of myself, but now I feel dumb, because my roomates all have a cumulative gpa of 3.7 or 3.8.

The average GPA at my school was 3.4. What kind of grades do you guys get? I know most of the patrons of this site are in college. What kind of GPA's do you have?

On 16 credit hours in electrical engineering this past semester I had a 3.0 on the dot.

My cumulative is just over a 3.1, so you've got nothing to worry about. What's your major? What school?

Do your friends have easier majors? Its hard to compare GPA's with people you're taking completely different schedules than. I've got a 3.7 cumulative (applied math major) which is way higher than most of my engineering friends, but am I smarter? He11 no, my classes are just easier in comparison. I've also got retard friends in easier majors with 4.0's, doesn't mean they're smarter than me.

When I got kicked out of college back in the late 90s I had a .9 GPA

Since I've been back I've never been below a 3.0 usually 3.5+ working full time and going to school full time for the most part and my cumulative now is something close to a 3.0.

This is for Computer Science and I'm in my last class now.

Programming is my weak point and I usually pulled high Cs in them! Also got Cs in accounting.

Other than that almost all As with a "few" Bs

I just got a BS in airway science/professional pilot. All my roomates are working on the same major.

Freshman year: I was a young inexperienced college student who didn't know what the hell was going on. I drank heavily every night. It took me 2 semesters to get a private pilot rating.

Sophmore year: Started seriously working on my aviation curriculum. I was in 18 credit hours and flying 2 training flights per day. I got my instrument, commercial, and multi engine ratings that year.

Junior semester: I took 24 credit hours, Got my CFI and CFII rating through the FAA, and worked alot on the camaro. I put exhaust and a cam on it. I did my whole junior year in one semester.

Senior year: I was devastated by the fact that my 2 roomates with CFII got hired by the school to instruct the new freshman students, and I didn't. It was very depressing for me, so I didn't care about school. I blew up the engine on my camaro, and rebuilt it with brute parts.

I haven't been inside an aircraft in 350 days. It is really embarrassing, but my roomate Andy is taking me to the school in a few minutes so I can get instrument current. We worked on CFI and CFII together. He struggled a lot, and I helped him through it. Now he is going to teach me how to fly again.

Im a ME major my GPA this semester was a 3.56 my cumulative is a 3.75 or so. I have just started getting into my engineering classes though, I expect a drastic drop pretty soon but its nice to have a little cushion as of right now.
