Literally...

    Amphicar Progress Pics

My father has made some decent progress on his Amphicar this year. He expects it to be done by next summer. He does an amazing job restoring cars. You'll see in the progress pics, there was not much metal left in this car. You gotta have respect for these guys with the skills to restore these classics when you see them all lined up at the car shows. His 'Cuda had trees growing through the hood... but thats a whole different story .

For now, thought you guys would like to take a look at the progress. These cars are pretty rare and different, you don't run across them often. The engine and prop shafts/tranny are all rebuilt and purring like a kitten. Just needs some interior and accessories and we'll be putting around the lake at 5 mph in no time... :D

man I hope those are good welds and the doors seal well. Suppsedly if you spring a leak in one of those they sink like a rock. Either way looks good. I see you are in new york, don't let james near it he might try to put it on the bottle to up that water speed limit :D

A blinding fast 7 mph in the water, and 70 on land. Its a teeny Triumph 4 cylinder. And yea, gotta love the drivers seat ;) .

That they do. You hear a lot of horror stories from these cars being recovered from the bottom of lakes, haha. We are going to leak check it before he gets any further. Just don't want the water on unprotected surfaces so he had to paint it all first.

Naaah... I've noticed a long time ago, you need a recognizable name around here to catch attention. Say if 12secV6 posts that he farted and it smelled funny. There would be 35 replies saying, "Yeah, me too!

Good think Everglades. All I know is it shouldn't be "flyin" by.
