well not really. but the earthquakes were so large, it made the earth spin faster! every year from now on will be something like .003 seconds shorter. in 1000 years we will be 3 seconds into the future. just thought i would let you know.

I believe this has been debunked, but I can't recall the link offhand.

well lets just say you will have about .0345 more seconds added to your age when you die, all in all if this makes you feel any better you will still die.

um actually no, 12/12/12 was predicted long long ago by the ancient mayans. check out their calander and look at how many things they have predicted thousands of years ahead of time

                        man, this sucks!!!!!!!!!!!

The earliest I can retire is Oct of 2013. Guess I wont have to worry about getting a "retirement" job handing out smiley face stickers at walsmart now

its hard to give out stickers when your dead!!!! plus u wont have anyone to give stickers to!

i hate walmart, i feel like white trash whenever i go there. I must admit, "The Wall-Mart" has bargain prices i just cant resist. (thinks of south park)

some people worry about this kind of thing. however, the error introduced by the quake was not 3ms (.003) but 3us (.000003). that's pretty small. i imagine the gps navigation satellites might need to be concerned about changes like this, however, with the speed on the surface of the earth, 18mps (i think), that's something like 3.5" of error. differential gps is accurate to 6" so its not a big deal. however, there will eventually be a leap second problem.
