What is your worst dream/nightmare?

I don't know about you guys, but every few weeks or so I keep having this recurring f'ing dream where I am back in high school but as my present self. In my dream I am wondering, "why in the hell am I here and how do I get out". It sounds strange, but these dreams are definitely not enjoyable. I never liked high school, or elementary school for that matter. I loved college, and only my last couple of years at high school. For the most part, my pre-college grades were lousy.

But another dream I have alot is of my childhood home... I have many fond memories there, and I often have good dreams about it.

maybe im just weird too, but i always have this dream that im back in highschool, and i cant remember my schedule, so i miss the same class every day and i cant figure out where im supposed to be. ive had it a few times now.

ive even had one where i was back in gradeschool, but as my present self. just like what youre describing, but it was about the 4th grade. very strange.

i also used to get sleep paralysis a lot, but i havnt had it for about 6 months now. that sucks way more than any bad dream. its scary as hell.

I know I have bad dreams but for the past few years I havnt been able to remember them with any detail. I love the ones where your trying to run around town away from something but your fighting moon gravity and cant move more than 1mph. Or when you suddenly fall and you wake up and its like your still falling. Ha those seem so real

My worst dream was I had this horrible looking creature/alien, something like you'd see from a sci-fi movie or something, and it just kept chasing me. I was at my house and I went to run in the front door, and it was waiting at the front door. So I ran around the house to the back door, and it was there. So the whole dream was me running to the back door, then the front all night long. That was my worst dream ever, there was no way I could get inside my house.

I have this bad dream and it lasts all night! I remember it in exact detail like I lived through it each time. I arrive on base, and arm up. I go to post, and then some needledick SNCO shows up and pesters me over the slightest details! Everything has to be turned into a "Big Deal" and god forbid I make a mistake. In fact, I swear I'm in the dream right now, typing to all of you!

Oh wait, it's no nightmare... it's my *duh duh DUHHHHHHH!* JOB!!!! *Que screaming*

now this one was only a few nights ago. i know that this is going to sound really werid, i'm scared of fish. i can only look at them in a tank. even then they freak me out some times. i can't go in the ocean, rivers, lakes, etc(i only go in pools, and i'm a big swimmer) cause i don't want them to be near me i don't eat them, touch them etc(ehhh i'm started to get freaked just thinking of it now)

so in this dream my fiance was in a river swiming with alot of people, the water was darker but there was a big line going across the river and shaun told me that fish can't get by that so i will be fine.and the only way i could see the fireworks would be to swim out( and fireworks are my fav thing in the world. so i couldn't say no) so i believed him. i got in the water and was in the middle of the river(at least 100 yards out) and i started to freak out cause i reliesed that i was in this water and there could be fish around me, i started to freak out, yelling for shaun and i was swimming as fast and i could (free style on my stomach with my head above) and i was looking down to make sure nothing was tooo close to me. and all of a sudden i saw this BIG whale starting to come at me(it was right under me and it was just coming up from the bottom straight up) and i was trying to go from side to side but it stayed right under me and then it started touching me (not hard just little taps) and i was freaking. kept yelling for shaun and he just came to me and got me out like it was nothing.
and like you said it was like i wasn't moving.
thanks guys now i'm freaking a little bit hehe.
but when i woke up, i was damp from sweating. and i couldn't go back to sleep.

I had that same dream for about 3 years.... my last year of college and then for about 2 years after.... in the dream I just finished my final year of college and i didnt realize that I kept forgetting to go to a required class. after the end of the final semester they robot guys in black suits from Matrix show up at my door and take my diploma away because I never went to this one friggin class...

My worst one was one I had over and over when I was a little kid. There were 3 giant creatures. One was a witch, one was a dragon and I don't remember what the other one was. But they were like twice as tall as my house and would rip the roof of my house off and be standing over me and the witch had that witch laugh. I don't know what else happened in that dream. I think I woke up crying everytime.

I few months ago I had one of those back in school dreams. I was back in elementry school as my present self but so was everyone else. Like it was everyone I went to school with back in elementry school and we had to redo it. It was kinda cool, I was like WOOO I get to be a kid again no more real world.

Yeah, that seems to be a common dream. I have had this on many occasions.. you try to outrun something but you aren't moving.

Come to think of it, another often dreamed event is attempting to fly like Superman. When I do start flying, I run out of energy or the ability to keep myself flying, and eventually I just come down but with the feeling of a roller coaster ride. Odd.

But the dreams about being in high school, I hate those. I have woken up in my sleep sometimes and felt relieved that it was only a dream, but I am feeling slightly disturbed from the dream and thought of being trapped in high school. I wonder if these dreams are indicative of any harmful effect we all suffered as children from the trauma of having to go to this "school" thing on a daily basis, and knowing there was no way out, it was your destiny for the next decade.

How about those other dreams you have when you will dream about a girl you know, and for the next 1-2 days you feel an odd attraction to her but eventually it wears off.

The mind is a strange thing.

Ever hear how some people claim, You can't die in your dream because you'll die in real life bla bla bla... Well I got shot in one of my dreams, right in the neck, and it felt like someone was pouring jelly down my neck and body, and I slowly started fading away to black as I lost all my motor skills. Then I woke up. Tell me thats not F'ed up?

An occuring one I have can happen anywhere. I go to turn the lights on and they don't work. Its just pitch black, and I can hear things moving about me. Or the lights start dimming slowly and I can't stop them. I woke up one night from one of these dreams in my room, I was all tangled in the sheets, it was pitch black, I went to hit my light and it didn't work. I freaked out. It was a black out.

I've gotten shot several times in various dreams and I feel it too. It's like a weird sensation that I can't really describe.

I've been having some cool dreams lately though of being able to float. If I breathe-in a certain way, I can go higher off of the ground...it's pretty wild.
