Okay I originally bought my firebird with 123,000 ? miles on it. Sold it to my dad around the 158,000 mark, just because his Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited finally died (front diff, transmission, A/C) all went out within like a month of each other. This was back in summer.
So anyways, he calls me yesterday morning and asks me to come pick him up at the mechanics, said something was wrong with the engine.
codes were:
egt postion sensor - knew that when i had it
misfire
misfire
left bank rich or something like that
Well I never got around to changing the plugs or wires. Well aparently never did my dad. Not to mention the previous owner before me who knows if he changed them.
The mechanic walks out with the wires, and literally snaps one in half. So new plugs and wires is all it needed. Kinda weird the night before I rode in it and you couldn't tell anything was wrong with it. You'd think a problem like that would slowly develop and show worsening signs.
