Shelby V8 & V6 Stang due to come out 2006

The Shelby V8 would be base on the GT but will receive an intercooled Vortech SC. HP rated at 500.

The Shelby V6 would be base on the standard 4.0 but will receive an intercooled Paxton SC. HP rated at 350.

That's pretty impressive. It all that HP and still be cheaper than the Vette, GM better do something. Or are they too broke now.

I'm at work so I didn't get to read much, but from what I did read, it doesn't sound like this is anything backed by Ford. It also said 25 cars, so if they're only doing 25 cars like this, I don't see why GM would need something to compete with it. And I'm sure you can make a lot of cars faster than the Vette for less money.

Oooh West Coast Customs... I'm surprised they only got 3 subs and 4 fog lights on the thing. I would think Shelby could find someone a little better to do the styling of the cars. The CS6 looks sweet though.

As far as scaring the vette goes. These aren't production cars and we all know HP doesn't tell the whole story. When I see a mustang beat the ZO6's lap time at Nur then I will be really impressed.

WOW.... I like the v6 body package better. Thats the biggest dislike I have against the new GT's is the grill and headlights. Id buy one if I knew I could swap them out for those out of a v6 pony package.

I went to Hemborg Ford in Norco, Calif. yesterday and I saw the V6 Shelby (blue too just like in the site) already in the showroom.

I didn't see the V8 though. Salesperson said they have it.

For some reason it looks better in the pictures than in person. To me that is. My Firebird still looks way better. Again, this is just me.

Nope, not allowed to drive it. Serious buyers only. Since it's limited Ed. and it just came in they haven't decided on the price yet.

Those mustangs done by Shelby are hot,iam ready for a trade lol my bird has been just giving me problems latly.then again its 10 years going on 11.
I heard from the news that Gm will start listening to the consumer on what cars they want at the same time telling the world about the 3500 job cut to save the company,Hmmmmm Camaro and firebird for sure and maybe the Buick GN.
