i have the issue in my hands, times:
0-60 3.8
0-100 7.7
1/4mi 11.7 @ 127
it has a 428 with 500hp@ 6200 and 475lb-ft@ 4800 she even gets gas milage, with 22/16. and they had the new viper in there too and it only (haha only) ran 12.1@121 the issue also pitted the EVO MR vs the WRX STi. very good issue

The viper has how much more displacement? Costs how much more? And the corvette is almost half a second faster?

yea but the viper looks better than any car under 200,000 so you cant dog it.

It's not that big of a deal to swap an A4 tranny under a Z06...as well as a solid axle setup for those 6000rpm launches on the back wheels past 60'.

The old 427s were in the 430 or 440 range
That is why GM came out with the 428 later, something to do with racing and needing the right motor size... can't remember exactly.

thats ****ing insane for a production car, just imagine it with full exhaust, better intake and a good driver. mmmm 10's on a daily driver with a warranty. then imagine it with something crazy like a blower, mmmm 8's
You can send your current vette to Lingenfelter and get the full $49,995 performance package. It is 720 hp twin turbo, 10 second car (10.39 on street tires if I remember correctly), and the kicker is it comes with a 2 yr/24,000 mile warranty.
SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)

i saw this one show where they took a lingenfelter vette (150k) and raced it against a blue angel jet, and it won. it was on some show but i got the video from kazaa. it was a 8 second car and looked stock
