Thread I found on Club GP, comparing the the gtp's 240hp engine to the S2000's 240hp engine. Flame wars started, and trolls jumped in. A long read, but funny and also agrivating, being an owner of a 3800 series engine.

oh, Page 8 is NWS! (not in a good way guys ;) )

I should have figured I'd get this kind of response.

[Edit: There, I fixed the NWS warning, in case we get more guys in here like you ]

Well, I'll give a little info on the thread for the lazy people. They were debating on which engine is better. It was going good until the trolls showed up, saying that a 10.8 in the 1/4 is slow, and one of the trolls has a '91 colt that claims beat a camaro that traps 130's on a highway run. Basically they hate all OHV engines, and think that anything OHC is other-worldly.

Problem is with the S2000's engine, it takes a hell of a driver to extract its full potential. Most S2000 drivers do not meet that criteria. I hope they like knowing they're the weak link in the chain. :D

EDIT: Oh, and why pay $32K for a car that only does the 1/4 mile in .1 or .2 faster?

On page nine, some guy from the s2k forum posted like three dyno pics from sc'd/tc'd s200's. they were making over 300hp, but it peaked between 8500 and 9k. Under 3k rpm, they're making close to 50hp, which to me is just laughable
