arnt there alot of Land Rover offroad clubs? mabey theres one around where you live. I doubt if you can do some serious **** stock, but you could still get off road on some fun trails if there are any around there.

Ive done some preliminary searches - but things are either outdated or very centralized in the UK.

You would be suprised what stock vehicles can do. My buddy has a Jeep Cherokee and a Honda Passport, and he beats the ever loving crap out of them and does some serious (for the stock vehicles) mud bogging/hill climbing and general field jumping, driving up through streams, all that good stuff. Granted they are field trucks though and no more, so he doesn't care if they get beat... Have to start somewhere right? Start small and go bigger and you'll see what your limits are and what upgrades to make. My buddy in in a Land Rover club too. Too bad you can't find a local one.

One thing I woudl look into is your tires... I have had friends learn that street tires don't always work well while mudding.

Im guessing those tires you have on there now are crap made for good mileage and little off road. I bought a set of BF Goodrich mudders for an excellent price and they were awesome, something to look into. Not a bad first investment. Roof lights too. You don't realize how helpful those things are until you are out at night and you can't see 10 feet in front of you because of the bushes blocking your headlights. Im guessing MTMike doesnt have that problem though considering his headlights are already 6 feet off the ground, lol. :D

Plus off-road lights are 150+ watts each, much better than stock headlights. The KC Daylighters I have in my basement that still need to be mounted to my truck are rated at 365,000 candle power each. They're called "Daylighters" for a reason.

                  High Beams only
4 KC Daylighters focused to 1 area + high beams

Once I got them positioned right it lights up about a mile a head of me.

I just have to put them on the beast now

Hahaha, Yep! It's funny because people will constantly flash their high beams at you. It's not like you have them on, its just the truck is higher and the headlights point right at on-commming traffic. So they flash theirs, then you flip yours on, then your fog lights, then the roll bar lights and watch their face light up in shock. Good times, good times...
