Well this is what happens when a firebird tries to get into a fight with a semi-truck...

Sorry for the crappy image quality:

not my fault...trucker didn't check his mirrors before changing lanes. almost pinned me between his rear tires and the center divider. His insurance is convering the damages...I just don't know when I'm going to be able to get it fixed.

For what happened, I think your bird faired pretty well. She took care of you, and you're safe- which is what's most important. Good to hear that it was the other guy's fault- make sure she gets nothing but the best parts!

Actually you were in a blind spot Either way he should have known. Thats the problem nowadays, theres no GOOD truck drivers because they pay the same they did in the 70s and 80s.. Which was good back then, but now they're starving.

Thanks guys...his insurance is still fighting with me though. The truck driver said he was in control of the lane and I came speeding out of nowhere and tried to pass on the shoulder....me him....there was a CONCRETE divider on that side, there was no way for me to pass on the shoulder. Also the shop where my car is going said the damage was worth $3500 but the independent adjuster said that is was only worth $2500 so that's what the insurance company will pay. I'm not sure how that's going to pan out yet..

Actually the only part of the truck that I touched was his tires so no damage to the truck at all...you couldn't even tell that something had happened.

You know what you do. Get lawyered up. I am NOT joking. You have too, truck driving insurance is EXPENSIVE and they're going to fight tooth and nail to pay you as little as possible. Im not joking, call around to some lawyers and see what they say and take them to small claims court if they refuse to pay the $3500 your insurance company/shop said it would be to get it fixed and fixed RIGHT.

Sorry I wasn't specific enought eariler.
The tires that hit me were the tires on the trailer he was hauling. If that's still his blind spot then whats the point of mirrors?? :D

My Dad's already threatened them with a lawyer if they don't pay for the full damage to the car. I just don't know what they're response is yet.
