I am not justifiying any of it, just Wallace being pissed about the hard foul.
This crap against the Pacers is complete BULL****!!!! I think the minute the fan threw the beer at Artest, this no longer became a basketball game against the Detroit Pistons, but a fight, 25 Pacer personnel against 12,000+ Detroit dumbasses. I would love to see those fans try to sue some of the Pacers, this would be great. They will LOSE in a heartbeat. And for anyone blaming Artest for this whole thing, you are stupid, HE DIDN'T START IT AT ALL!!! The ****ing Detroit scum that was at that game started it. You know what they ought to do, SUSPEND ALL HOME GAMES AT THE PALACE!!!! Let Detroit play their home games at a neutral site.

You idiots that said this was completely Artest fault, can't be more wrong. Ben did the shoving, and Artest was a bigger man to walk away. Wanna suspend someone, suspend Wallace indefinitely. I can see where Artest was in the wrong, and he does deserve punishment, but like I said, he didn't start any of this. Ben Wallace and the Detroit Dumba**es started that crap.

BTW, if these lawsuits follow through, you Detroit fans better kiss the Pistons goodbye. Pacers can definitely sue the Detroit Piston organization for what happened last night.

Now that was awesome Ventura got pissed cuz Ryan whacked him w/ the ball, he could'nt control himself and just attacked Ryan, Nolan gotem' in a headlock and gave him a good *** whipping. Now that was sweet. Also reminds me of the fight between Georgia and Georgia Tech, football players and bandmembers were in a scramble. :D

I don't want to start a flame war here, Mogo. But Artest started with that pointless foul on Ben. Sure Ben overreacted, but he didn't do anything that doesn't happen everyday in sports. Artest made things worse by laying on the scoring table... that was taunting, he was trying to get a reaction from someone and he did. Then he made it even worse by running into the stands and hitting random people.

Sure everyone involved takes some blame in it...but Artest takes the most.

i thought those fans got what they deserved....if not they deserved more. epsecially the fan that came on the court and got put on his ***. ****ing losers

the players should get a raise

Artest is they guy that went in the stands first right? he should be suspended for 5 games with pay because that was the only things that was halfway wrong. every player in the NBA would have done the same

If Artest was smart, he would have tried to get the fans on the court. Then it's fair game!

I remember the incident with the thrown chair in baseball a little while back. One ball player said that you MUST take the crap the fans dish out. You cannot go in to the stands under NO circumstances. But if you get them on the field, coming at you, then it's self defense.

The fans surely hold some blame here. They acted like the trash that they threw. But athletes cannot chase fans into the stand.

As far as Artest goes, it is his fault. He is the one that fouled Wallace and I think it's pretty easy to say that the whole thing would not have started with out his senseless act.

And just for the record, I am a fan of neither team. So I am not being partial to either side, including the fans.

Them players are gonna get their asses sued off.
And rightfuly so. Its gonna be fun to watch.

NBA players have done it to them self.

It would do the next gen of NBA player well if a few of these guys ended up poor, working at MCDonalds to make ends meet.

Artest went into the stands and attacked an innocent person. That guy talked to the media and he said Artest went up and attacked him and said "Did you do ity? Did you do it?" and he is "No, man, no".

The ones who went on the court were fair game, but not for Jermaine because the kid was already down when he came up a sucker punched him.

there haven't been too many "professional athletes" in the NBA in about 10 years, ever since they made it a circus act.

                          </font>
You have got to be kidding me! If anyone else had fouled Wallace like that it would have been a totally different story. Then Artest lays down on the scorers table? Do you honestly think that's right? If you think Wallace should be suspended indefinately for shoving Artest, then Artest should have been banned from the league a long time ago.

And yes, a few of those fans will make out like bandits. Artest attacking the guy in the black shirt, unless he actually threw the beer which he said he didn't. He'll win easily.

How about the guy in the black shirt holding Artest back that Jackson hit. Watch the video. He's on the right. Jackson had no reason to be up there. He was not on the defensive. He went up there looking to hit someone.

The guy who walked on to the floor is a dumbass and made a move at Artest. He deserved to get dropped. O'Neil, however, had no reason to hit him while he's on the floor after the fight is over. Dollar signs flashed in his eyes after O'Neil hit him.

I can't see how anyone can defend Artest?

Some fan laid out one of the Pacers, then got laid out himself. That was my favorite. Some fatass 30 year old man lays out this big jacked athlete, then turns around and just gets met with a fist thats 6 inches across
