Anyone watch the show on Wednesday? I liked it, thought it could be longer than a half-hour.

i don't know about wednesday but i saw today on speed channel. i was surprised to see the race was between a 97 camaro z28 and 2000 firebird formula. F-bodies on national tv.... By the way it was a cool show. The main rule of the show is that if you lose, you lose your ride. winner gets to take all home. so, the camaro dude won and took the firebird home. Camaro rocks well hold on i don't want to get criticized by firebird owners so rephrase F-body rocks.... happy now ;)

yah i thot it was a good show

instead of a judge cheking out your car you just meet up and inspect each others. the host was funny, "he just out negotiated you, now line up"

lol

from what i heard... after the show you can buy you car back for like ten bucks. so that kinda makes it lame. but seems to be a pretty cool show none the less.

Wow, really where did you hear that? That sucks! The main attraction to me is losing your car and not getting it back.

i thought it was a stupid show and concept.....
no WAY would i race somebody and if i lost, lose my car!
you would have to pay me the value of my car or more to even consider it.

also i thought it was dumb how they handicapped the races by "lengths" instead of using a stabdard braket tree or at least a stopwatch.

no offense to u guys that liked it but i dont see it lasting more than one season

yah i was wondering bout that too, they had a tree why not use it if you're running handicaps

sometimes when people try to take things that are cool in real life and make a movie or show it comes out stupid, but overall i liked it

That race was truly unfair,
The Formula had only a 50shot and a Converter?he was a 6 speed so I dont know what the converter For.
The Camaro:250shot with who knows how much work done to the engine.Weight reduction etc
even giving the Firebird a 8 car head start the camaro pased him by 2 cars.
with all said the fireBird Gotz Owned.A Sad day for Firebird losing to a Camaro and all

I saw that one. I found it on tv one day and was like holy ****. The camaro was one hell of a race car.

Ive seen that camaro in a street racing video... If you look in Windows Media Player in the find media page. Type in Street Racing. Look at the Houston Teaser trailer. It looks like that dude and that camaro.

The car wasn't lost...epic posted this from the other v6 site...
Lemme give a little bit of a background since I am friends with all of the parties that were involved with the episode. This didn't happen in Illinois - it happened in Iowa back in October.

The green LT1 is the Straightline Performance shop owner's car (Tony goes by jucin, I was at his shop a few weeks ago dynoing). He is from the southside and runs chicagohp.com which I admin. As for the black formula...well, that would be Bird of Prey's NHRA Formula (moderator on our board), driven by Chitown Racing's shop owner (Dustin goes by ponch, they installed my converter). Ponch is from the northside..he owns the board chitownracing.com which I admin.

The car was not lost, it was a gimmick..here's why. Another car was supposed to be in place of the Formula but the car wasn't ready in time so they ended up using BoP's car (actually decided the night before). The spots were pretty necessary considering the fact that the LT1 is a mid-10sec car on the gun.

This show could be so much better, but the host is a douche and doesn't know a thing, pretty amateur filming scheme of things, and the flow of the show is lacking. I'll give it this much though - it's the best 'reality' show for track people. Too bad the future episodes are going to bomb.

I had the original promo on DVD a few months back before this aired.. I can't believe they didn't fix the "v28" when showing Tony's LT1. What a joke.
