Is it at all possible to get financing with just working part time? I have good credit because if have 3 Credit cards, and I make payments on time (yes I know, I ran into some financial trouble last summer with my ex girlfriend, etc. but its cleared up now, but i never once have been late on a CC payment, just made minimum sometimes).

I can show where I take home at least 150 a week after taxes and union dues.

I want to sell my car outright, and walk in with like 3 grand cash and buy like a 2000+ Mustang GT. So maybe get a loan for around 10k tops? 250 a month car payment or thereabouts.

please, if you're going to make negative comments about the mustang, shutup I don't care to hear it. I've owned 3 f-bodies now and never been fully satisfied and I've wanted a V8 mustang since I can remember, I've always settled on f-bodies and I'm just sick of them for now. I've given GM three strikes...I don't care how slow mustangs are either. Looking for some advice for those that have life experience with stuff like this, should I even waste my time without getting a co-signer?

    Thanks :D

I don't think they would let you have it making 600/mo.

Nope won't happen. That is nearly 50% of your income. On top of that you have higher insurance rates. Where do you work anyway?

UPS right now part time while I'm in college.

I'm making $9.50 an hour as a clerk only 20 hours a week.

Alright, thanks though. I'm just going to be stuck with this car until I get out of school.

You could be stuck with worse. Count your blessings. ;)

It can be done, if your fico is over 700 and your card balances are less than 50% or so.

I just bought a Jeep, walked in ran the credit, made the deal, drove out 1.5 hours later.

Never asked about income or employment. Local credit union financed(older Jeep). They will try to dink you on interest if you dont have much to put down.

Try some online financing options as well, Capitol One, People First.

Do a google for auto finance and read up.Beware of the finance anyone places, they charge many fees and usually you pay very high interest, again read up and get all details.

            Good luck.

Mine just blew a headgasket so I'm thinking just dump more money into it to fix it.

Maybe someone on campus will steal it and I can collect insurance lol. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and keep this. :D

              Thanks for the input though

lol no. It'd be much easier to just leave it around Columbus Drive and 50th street near work. Some hoodrat would gladly take it ;)

But again thanks guys, you have saved me probably quite a few hours at a dealership just to hear them say "uh no."
